This is by FAR the best musical reaction channel on Earth. Your reaction to hearing "Hallowed Be Thy Name" for the first time is fucking priceless, and your genuine appreciation of, and enthusiasm for, Iron Maiden is SUCH a pleasure to watch. Far as I'm concerned, Iron Maiden is the best band in history, and Steve Harris is a fucking genius. One day, philharmonic orchestras will be playing Iron Maiden's music, if such is not the case already. Keep up the great work on this channel, and don't ever change dude.

There are several covers of songs like Wasted years done with acoustic instruments and it sound almost better than the original. A great song is not genre dependant, and to me, if you can take a heavy metal song and do it with 1 acoustic guitar and piano and it still comes up great, that means the writing of both the melody and the lyrics was top notch. And in the case of Maiden, pretty much all their songs could make this transition easily.

I saw Iron Maiden on this tour (World Slavery Tour, Powerslave Album) when I was a long haired, denim jacket wearing teenager. It was unbelievable. I distinctly remember the tolling of the bells in Carolina Coliseum....the build up to the meat of the song, which you seemed to enjoy like the first drop of a giant new roller coaster, was thick in the air as Bruce held that note for 30 seconds. With the blinding flash of strobe lights the 2 guitars wove a tapestry of ability that forces anyone listening, who has a shred of appreciation for that thing that separates the great from the good, blanketed the sea of head bangers. If you would have been there my friend you would have been embraced as a friend. That is the power of great music. It makes those who can recognize it see past our differences, put aside our politics and nurture friendships as opposed to division. I have seen them 8 times over the years. The most recently was last summer in Charlotte. They never disappoint. This song is one of my favorites and just added back to the rotation now that some legal issues have been resolved. Iron Maiden's lineup in this video consists of Bruce Dickenson, the lead singer, Adrian Smith and Dave Murray on guitar, Nicko McBrain on drums and the best bass player ever, Steve Harris. The power and influence of Iron Maiden's music is evident by your reaction. What a joy it is to share the appreciation and love that I have for their art with new people all these years later. I loved watching your face just light up when you first began to watch. I can relate. I felt the exact same way the first time I listened to one of their albums. Music is one of the most powerful agents of peace that we can all embrace and employ to find common ground and in the end a better place for us all.

Johnny White, ben to 5 conserts from 2006-2017. Wish i could be born 15 years earlier. But nonetheless, ben to alot of conserts and festivals with alot of bands. Iron Maiden will be with me till i go to the grave. Funny tho how many of the ppl born in the 50s and 60s saw this music as devils music. Just like Elvis when he started to dance and rocknroll. They were so conservative. Also i tried to tell my father for years and years that iron maiden is not the devil. Listen to their lyrics, thats the barrier btw generations. The music the riffs are brilliant. But how many did actually pay attention to the lyrics back in those days? How many outside the uk knew the lyrics that well back in those days? They made up their mind about Maiden beeing all about 666 the devil and shit. Just talking about what kinda discussions ive had with my own father and ppl of that generation. I get upset by their reactions, but hey, i was born with english subtitles and movies. Noone can argue about the music. But the message are equally important to me. UP THE IRONS

Hey dude! I love your reaction to this video! Iron Maiden has been my favorite band since ever. I discovered them at the age of 15 going at the library for books and just before leaving there was a display with albums available to borrow with the album Fear of the Dark. The cover caught my attention and I was like "WOW, what a great cover!!" I had never seen anything like it before so I decided to take it home. Once at home I did put the CD in my father radio and upon pressing play and hearing the debut of the first song named "Be quick or be dead" I knew I had discovered a group of music that would changed my life forever!! I must have listened that album a few hundred times within the month I was allowed to keep it before bringing it back. Then I asked if there was any more album that could be borrowed through the library and they were able to obtain "No prayer for the dying" on cassette from a different library. Again I was stomp by another amazing album. The best way to discover Iron Maiden in my opinion is by getting 1 album at a time. At first listening to the whole album you will have a favorite song, but then the more you listen to it, another song will become your favorite and then another until the whole album is your favorite and every songs are your favorites or close to, making it very hard to tell which one you really prefer. Once you fully appreciate and truly know the album, then you are ready to discover a new one, which if you're like me will become again your favorite doing the same pattern as I just described. After 22 years of listening to Iron Maiden and having all their albums, I can't hardly tell which one I do prefer the most as they all are magnificent and all have a different story to tell. Funny fact is that my father could appreciate Iron Maiden as he was way more opened to music than my mother even if he was older than her and was usually listening to even older music like Jethro Tull. My mother was always complaining that Bruce Dickinson was just screaming and not singing and that listening to that music would never bring me anywhere. But life proved her wrong. In 2010, i went to see Iron Maiden on "Les Plaines D'abraham" in Quebec, for like the 6th time back then. In the marshpit i bumped into a girl and we grabbed each other by the shoulder in the frenzy of the event and said to each other "Let's walk to the front row at the gate together!" From there we watch the whole concert together. The only time we spoken is when she asked me from where I was from, to which I reply "from far away" (I had driven 3 hours from New-Brunswick to Quebec). After the concert I walked her to the entrance from there we exchanged our facebook to find a few days after that we had almost 10yrs of age difference, she was 19 and I was 28, but we still decided to neglect that fact and decided to meet up in Quebec again one week later for the Rammstein concert. that night we kissed for the first time and made it official. 2 years later we got engaged after an Iron Maiden concert. And 9 years later we are still together. We now own 5 houses together that we rent apartments for a total of 11 doors. But more importantly we now have 2 sons! The oldest is named: Maiden and we named the second William, but his middle name is Eddie (Iron Maiden mascott's name) So think again just how much I was right to believe that discovering Iron Maiden back then would be so important in my life and would change the course of it, if it wasn't from that I wouldn't know my wife and have 2 sons named likewise! Iron Maiden will be forever my favorite band. And they are still touring and still just as good as ever been! We're going to see them in august are will be bringing our 2 sons. My son Maiden will be seeing them for his second time! Last tour they did we brought him and he was 9 months old and had a great time! Of course we preventively install earplugs in his ears and earmuffs on top of it. My wife and I pretested them at a Megadeth concert to see how much sound attenuation there was and though it was alright. The kid even if that young truly enjoyed the show as it is one of the greatest band to see in concert. I would recommend to you or anyone that never seen Iron Maiden to go see them in concert, you just can't go wrong if you like music! Continue your great work, your channel is awesome and you are bound to discover a lot of great music! Cheers!

Iron Maiden is the standard for melodic metal songs, and it really isn't even close. For example, this, Fear of the Dark, Paschendale, Infinite Dreams, When the Wild Wind Blows, and many more. You'll like them for sure Edit: had to add in the Clansman, but it's a different singer unless you do a live version, which I recommend

I’m a 55 year old metal head white guy that seen Maiden for the first time about 5 years ago, I had the privilege of meeting the lead singer Bruce Dickinson at my work years ago. Bruce is a pilot and he was at my work filming a show for the Discovery channel called Heavy Metal, a show about airplanes. While I was at work I seen a group of suit and tie guys and several cameramen taking pics, so I walked over to see what was going on and one of the guys asked if I knew Iron Maiden I told him yes then asked if he does. He then mentioned that one of the guys was the singer Bruce, I was looking through the crowd and when I seen him I just approached him and shock his hand, then I asked a guy from the local newspaper to take our picture (this was before cellphones) and email it to me, which did then I walked over to one of our printers and asked for his autograph, I still have the pic of Bruce and I, then I put his autograph with my old cassette cover in a frame together. King KTF I can’t tell you how stoked I get seeing black men that are primarily rap fans indulge in metal, you need to go to a metal show I would highly recommend Gojira and check out the live video of Opeth playing Sorceress at Red Rocks. Keep jamming to metal, you will be amazed at the amount of killer music out there, I’d love to take you to a show

King, I'll date myself bro, but I saw these guys in 84. All these old metal bands, seen em all. they were great. When Number of the Beast came out, Maiden was at the top of stardom. They got a lot of radio play and packed whatever arena they booked. They were among the best sounding bands live and loud and put on a hell of a show. I blame this period of time on my not hearing as good as I used to haha! After a rock concert you walked around for 3 days convinced you had cotton balls in your ears LOL! Imagine a 40000 seat arena with the entire place in a cloud of weed smoke, the ground vibrating, imagining your shirt was moving from every base kick you felt in your chest while screaming at your buddy beside you and can't hear a word the other one says it's so loud~ And that's the way it was, yea, kind of had to be there. Bruce D. had some pipes, that guy could sing, ultimate rock god vocalist. Also Steve Harris is one of the best bass players of all time. He's on anyone's' top 10 Metal bassist list. I truly got a kick out of watching your reactions. I know what's coming in the song and I imagined that we looked just like you when we pealed the plastic off the album (yes, vinyl antique shit) and laid it on the Pioneer turntable and cranked that amp to max and had our minds blown. I think a lot of what is lost is the magic of those days compared to now. Consider, all we had were album covers, Rock mags, radio and live concerts. We learned about our music at the record stores checking out covers, rags on the mag rack and talking to people who knew anything about who. Our Wikipedia was the DJ's on the radio and everything else we made up and imagined. Then, you finally snagged tickets to see whatever band live! It was the biggest thing going on for the moment, it was a big deal. I think a lot of the magic and mystery is lost in our connected and information rich lifestyle these days. Back then, there was so much we didn't know. That old saying comes to mind "ignorance is bliss" LOLOLO!!!... Rock on man!

Well discribed, well said, that's exactly how it was in all arena heavy Metal shows in the 1980s, 40k stadium down to 15k they are all exactly what you said they were. Amazing times my friend wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, was so lucky to have been born & raised in the time of Heavy Metals not so humble beginnings. I would have hated being a kid in this day and age, security it's Locked down and meet and greets cost a fortune!! I was blessed to have lived it all, for just the price of admission into the arena!! Been there, done that, everyone A to Z, from Areosmith to ZZ top!! And I mean all of them!! If there was a Rock concert in any direction within a 100 mile radius, I was on my way down the road to be there, to experience the rush of excitement & energy that came from being inside all of those concert arenas! It was my main addiction and what a good one it was.

I saw Iron Maiden for the first time in 1984 when they toured for their Number of the Beast album. I remember spending all of my babysitting money on concert tickets that summer. I saw some great shows that year. Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Scorpions etc. Best times ever. At that time, I wanted to be a concert critic. He also is a pilot, he flies the jumbo plane that they use on tour, imagine that, not only being the singer but the pilot flying them city to city. He takes it seriously too, puts on the official pilot uniform and everything. You are in luck, they still perform, they just wrapped up a European tour, should be back in the states in the near future.

Born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, Dickinson began his career in music fronting small pub bands in the 1970s while attending school in Sheffield and university in London. In 1979, he joined the new wave of British heavy metal band Samson, with whom he gained some popularity under the stage name "Bruce Bruce" and performed on two studio records. He left Samson in 1981 to join Iron Maiden, replacing Paul Di'Anno, and debuted on their 1982 album The Number of the Beast. During his first tenure in the band, they issued a series of US and UK platinum and gold albums in the 1980s. Dickinson quit Iron Maiden in 1993 (being replaced by Blaze Bayley) to pursue his solo career, which saw him experiment with a wide variety of heavy metal and rock styles. He rejoined the band in 1999, along with guitarist Adrian Smith, with whom he has released five subsequent studio albums. Since his return to Iron Maiden, he issued one further solo record in 2005, Tyranny of Souls. His younger cousin, Rob Dickinson, is the former lead singer of British alternative rock band Catherine Wheel, while his son, Austin, fronted the metalcore band Rise to Remain. Outside his career in music, Dickinson is well known for his wide variety of other pursuits. Most notably, he undertook a career as a commercial pilot for Astraeus Airlines, which led to a number of media-reported ventures such as captaining Iron Maiden's converted charter aeroplane, Ed Force One, during their world tours. Following Astraeus' closure, he created his own aircraft maintenance and pilot training company in 2012, Cardiff Aviation. Dickinson presented his own radio show on BBC Radio 6 Music from 2002-2010, and has also hosted television documentaries, authored novels and film scripts, created a successful beer with Robinsons Brewery and competed at fencing internationally.
