Hey, the Costa Rica version! I was there. It was the first time Iron Maiden visit Costa Rica. Bruce was totally blown away by the audience that night. For us was pure magic. One of the best concerts I've been in my life. The vibe, the setlist, the friends, everything went perfect that night.

Good tune! Vin, I noticed you pointing out Nicko's drums...the thing that always impresses me about his playing is that he doesn't use double bass drums OR a double-bass pedal! He does that amazing kick drum work with ONE foot!

I think you guys would be fascinated by the documentary "Flight 666" - it's about their "Somewhere Back In Time" Tour from a few years ago, and how they flew all over the world in a customized jet...piloted on non-performing days by lead singer Bruce Dickinson! it gave me a whole new appreciation for this legendary band!

Yes at the end after Bruce got pierced by the iron maiden, Eddie turned the magician's assistants against him and they put him on a sword, seconds later his body was impaled. Not for the faint of heart.

Fun fact: On the album Adrian Smith's guitar solo got lost during studio recordings so they woke him up at like 4 am still drunk of his ass and he nails the solo in 1 take, thats the solo we hear on the album :)

I never knew that! The studio version is an excellent solo. But I always thought Adrian and Dave were a perfect pairing: Adrian is a technically superior guitarist to Dave, but Dave feels it more and can express his feelings in his playing.

I think the time is ripe for Vin & Sori to do Maiden's "Alexander the Great"! Don't get me wrong, I love Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, but now that they've done "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" and "Powerslave", I think it would be fitting to move on to "Alexander the Great". My first Iton Maiden concert was in Schweinfurt Germany in 1988 during a Monsters of Rock concert. I was hired to hire 10 off duty MPs. Maiden was the headliner. They were promoting the Seventh Son of the Seventh Son album. When the started their gig with the song Moonchild, I was working in the buffer zone and I pointed at Bruce Dickinson and said, "I have got to do that!!". Two years later I was out of the military and opened a concert with a band with Moonchild!! It was in Germany as I stayed in Germany another 6 years as a civilian

I think seventh son is a great album for them because of their religious background and that album, in addition to being amazingly good, is very good vs evil with a lot of religious tones.
