Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast Bass cover

The title track to Iron Maidens classic 3rd album from 1982, The Number of the Beast was my first ever album, and I have never looked back since then. A great way to start side 2 of the record.
The track itself turned out to be a classic, with the instrumental mid section becoming an iconic bassline for the 80s. Despite that, it took me 28 years of playing before I actually decided to learn it for my journey of learning every Maiden track by order of release.......the power of KZbin!
The bassline is probably medium difficulty, although the 5/4 pause after the intro gets me every time! (no wonder that these days, when Maiden play it live, the pause is a straight 4/4 bar)

LOL I wished your vid helped with my headache. So!!!!!! I now see what I do when I have more than 2 beers. Now I know my limit is 3..lol. My A/c is broken and my windows were open and it was only 2am.. You would think all would be thanking me for waking them up with an Iron Maiden tune, no?? You are absolutely right! The perfect song...Have you recorded a cover of this song? You are easy to learn from. :-) Thanks for the reminder of this song. I will learn it. I do not read music. I play by ear. Also, visually when I watch a bass cover on KZbin. I use the speed setting and slow the video and see where you place your fingers on the fret board. I started that way. But after a few years, it becomes like a walk in the park. You get to know your instrument better than anything else you know. It still took me a few hours to learn this one though yesterday. :-) I still need some practice. But it was awesome to get a feel for it though...The adrenaline, the rush.. :-) Anyways, you place your fingers nicely where you can see them. That's why I say you are easy to learn from. No mate, I am currently using an old camera (the worlds bloody noisiest camera it seems!) and a capture device. All because this stupid Windows 8 on my new pc doesn't recognise my Sony camera that I used to use (hence no widescreen and a lot of camera noise). Will have to get a new camera sometime!
