Number of the Beast has become the traditional song to play after the break for the encore portion of the concert. They will say goodnight, thank the audience, and leave the stage. The lights go dark, and then "Woe to you, o earth and seed..." kicks in for the encore. It is amazing to watch live.

The beauty of Iron Maiden is that a song written just today, will be a classic tomorrow. Once you get into their music, it's hard not to like any song. All because, somehow, they are all wonderfully written and sung. Steve Harris is a genius. And, what's not to like from Nicko? One of, if not the best drummer in heavy metal, a true down to earth man, always teasing the fans to warm them up, throwing sticks and skins, always smiling. I could bet, even if having a bad day, you will find him smiling and with a nice and kind word. Loved your reactions, ladies. Sorry for missing the live Halloween broadcasting. Drum sticks hurt. Got hit in the head by one thrown by Eric Carr (Anthrax/KISS Vancouver, 1989) and had a welt the size of a golf ball for a week. Didn't even get the stick, it bounced off my head into someone else's hands. It was the only show I ever dove off the stage and crowdsurfed, it was during Madhouse by Anthrax.
