ABOUT IRON MAIDEN:
Iron Maiden are an institution. Over the course of six decades they have come to embody a spirit of fearless creative independence, ferocious dedication to their fans, and a cheerful indifference to their critics that’s won them a following that spans every culture, generation, and time-zone. A story of gritty determination and courageous defiance of the naysayers, theirs has been an adventure like no other.
The band’s immense discography includes the studio albums ‘The Number Of The Beast’, ‘Piece Of Mind’, ‘Powerslave, ‘Somewhere In Time’, ‘Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son’, ‘Fear Of The Dark’, ‘The Final Frontier’ and ‘The Book Of Souls’ which have spawned many classic hits as ‘The Trooper’, ‘Wasted Years’, ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’, ‘Wasting Love’, ‘Run To The Hills’, ‘Aces High’, ‘Rime Of The Ancient Mariner’ and ‘2 Minutes to Midnight’.

I've been a Maiden fan since their first album came out. They never tried for a number one album, they never cared for a number one song, they never craved a Grammy Award. They just gave their fans kick ass tunes and great live shows year after year. These guys are in my top five favorite bands of all time and in my 50 years I've seen a lot of the good ones. Iron Maiden is one of them.

When I was 15, Iron Maiden was everything to me. I used to eat, drink and breathe Maiden. Nothing was more important. However, it was a bit disappointing to be so infatuated with the band during those years, since Blaze was the main singer... I loved all the albums with Bruce and thought X-Factor was... Ok, I guess. And OK, to me, was not enough. One day, I got to school and a friend handed me a magazine. The headline said: "BRUCE IS BACK... And he's bringing Adrian with him!". I can honestly say that that was one of the greatest days of my life. A few weeks (or months) later, I was able to record this video, using my VCR (oh, the good old pre-utube days...), and I must have watched it at least a thousand times! Since then, my passion for Maiden has diminished a bit.I grew older, started to care for other kinds of music - you know what I mean. But I gotta say: it's a band I keep respecting a lot. And this video continues to bring amazing memories! UP THE IRONS!

Let me count the ways that Iron Maiden saved MY life over the years: 1.) In HS, I was the first “special needs” student to complete 4 yrs of a foreign language (German), 4yr letterman in wrestling 🤼‍♂️, 3 in 🏈 and track/field (hammer, shot, javelin and discus), but I faced MY fair share of hardships @ school and home; 2.) 15 yrs in the Marine Corps-including Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Restore Hope (loaned out to the Army Rangers in Somalia), 6 mos. w/ the US Navy Chaplain Corps in Germany 🇩🇪, and Operation Balkan Peace (attached to UN Peacekeeping Forces, as well as the ROTC program @ USC (Fight On 🤘🏻!!!). Managed to reach the rank of Captain (O-3), as well as GS-14 (equiv. = Lt. Col.) w/ the D of D; 3.) 10 yrs w/ the Dept. of Defense, & all the Game of Thrones 🐂 💩 that went w/ the territory; 4.) 13 yrs w/ the ILWU (longshoreman and later, logistics manage; 5.) Learning I was adopted in 2019, while having raised 3 kids as a single father, who were ALSO adopted themselves (all 3 grown up now and doing well in life); 6.) My parents [actually, an aunt & uncle, the former, who I’ve ALWAYS referred to as “Mom”] getting a divorce after my 3 younger brothers & 2 sister had left home (I’m married for the 2nd time, but my first wife divorced me not long after my folks split up…☹️); 7.) Retired now, but on this journey, I managed to earn-1 Associates, 2 Bachelors, 2 Masters & 2 Doctorates. Thanks 🙏 dah boys in Iron Maiden for helping keep me going!!! AND… I even managed to meet the band 22. August, 1992, while I was on leave visiting family in the UK 🇬🇧. Some cousins and friends had VIP passes, as well as knew people, so that was one of THE BEST birthdays 🥳 ever (even managed tah get drunk w/ the band…😁!!! “Seven Deadly Sins… Seven ways to win… Seven holy paths to Hell and your trip begins… “Seven downward slopes… Seven bloody hopes… “Seven are your burning 🔥 fires 🔥… Seven, your desires”… 🫶🏻🙌👍🏻✊🏻✌️🤘🏻💪🏻🙏🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇮🇪🇺🇸

I was late to the Maiden party by a few years, but this video is what won me over. I just remember the sound of Nickos drums and the little melody bit that Dave plays under the chorus that convinced me they were the real deal. Contemporary rock music did not sound like this in 2001. It was all nu metal with no solos, so to see something like this on TV was a breath of fresh air.

I did not find a lyrics in the comments, so I'll put the lyrics here Hand of fate is moving and the finger points to you He knocks you to your feet and so what are you gonna do? Your tongue has frozen now you've got something to say The piper at the gates of dawn is calling you his way You watch the world exploding every single night Dancing in the sun a newborn in the light Say goodbye to gravity and say goodbye to death Hello to eternity and live for every breath Your time will come Your time will come Your time will come Your time will come The ferryman wants his money, you ain't going to give it back He can push his own boat as you set up off the track Nothing you can contemplate will ever be the same Every second is a new spark, sets the universe aflame You watch the world exploding every single night Dancing in the sun a newborn in the light Brothers and their fathers joining hands and make a chain The shadow of the Wicker Man is rising up again Your time will come Your time will come Your time will come Your time will come Your time will come Your time will come Your time will come Your time will come Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh Woah-oh, oh-oh

I try so often to describe the feeling that maiden gives me when i listen to it. One of them is the feeling when you're really hungry, and you biting into a big, hot, juicy burger with melting cheese, crispy bacon, fresh onions and smoky barbecue sauce. But it's my soul that is hungry and maiden is so full of richness, power, beauty and love. I don't know how all you other guys around the world feel with the music of maiden, how intense your experience is. For me it is one of the most intense feeling of being lucky, and loaded with positive energy. I cry so much with theyr music, it is a relief, like a therapy. Specially with the song "these colours don't run" Sorry for my english, i'm german! Big love to every single maiden fan around the world!! 🤘♥️

This was the song that introduced me to Iron Maiden when it came out. I was about 17, unfortunately had never heard Iron Maiden before then and didnt really have a lot of access to their music because of the local record stores not carrying their stuff prior or hearing them on the radio or MTV. It was on VH1s Rock Show when the video debuted and I was floored beyond belief. Ironically, I had a friend who was off in the Air Force at that time who WAS into Maiden and he was coming in for a little while for my brother's wedding. He found out I liked this and then introduced me to a ton of their stuff, as well as scoring two tickets to go see them in Cleveland and offered me the second ticket. Went and came home a die hard Maiden junkie. Within a year i managed to round up every single album they had up to that time by searching any and everywhere and I am STILL a fanatic. Alongside AC/DC, they are the band that ruled my life

Been a metal head since the late 70's...theb80's I was teen and young man..I was ridiculed by the church for my taste in music..played guitar in the youth band, ironically. I never gave in, it made my hunger twice as strong. I played every chance I could, with head phones in my crate stack. I live this shit..I'm 51 now. UP THE IRONS.
