That is a masterpiece created by Mr Adrian Smith.... all their songs are very deep with logic. Please react to Dance of death.... you will love that song... its lyrics keeps you without blinking. Also Heaven can wait, The Longest Day, The Clansman, the number of the Beast.... but if you want to feel goosebumps listen to the wickerman live in rock in Rio with its intro... it's a time when Adrian and Bruce rejoined the band to make history...

There's more to music than lyrics, lol. Pretty much all of music is relevant in the absence of lyrics. Lyrics are just the sesame seeds on your bagel, a way to label your song. It's the vocals you should be acknowledging, not the lyrics. Remember, vocal does not mean verbal.

This is the band I grew up with as a teenager, among others, but it was Iron Maiden that was my favourite. Many night's I'd be doing my homework from school listening to them at the same time. It made doing homework a lot better! And this was always one of my favourite songs as well. Another song on the same album I always loved was 'Stranger in a Strange Land'. Give that song a go...please! Or 'Blood Brothers' from the 'Brave New World' album which was the first album they done when Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith rejoined the band. Blood Brothers really is a 'stadium feel' song, which you seemed to like. I first heard it in a stadium and when you have 12000 people singing along with the lyrics, you've really become part of something greater than yourself. Pure magic!

Written by the guitarist Adrian Smith, the one who sings backing on this. The tour they did for Powerslave was around 200+ gigs all over the world. They took six months off after that and perhaps this song reflects the feelings that might have been on the tour. The video collage throughout their career adds on it.

Great reaction video! This song was written solely (lyrics and music) by guitarist Adrian Smith (who did the amazing solo in the song). He wrote it after Iron Maiden had spent the previous year+ on the road, on the World Slavery Tour (supporting the album Powerslave). Near the end of that tour, all the members of the band were pretty burnt out- that's too long to spend away from home and family. Adrian wrote it about the experience of losing himself on that tour, but also the need to "live in the moment," as you astutely noted. Iron Maiden will be in the U.S. this summer (2019)- hope to see you at a show, Preston! UP THE IRONS!!

A great song written as a 'memoir' really, 'from coast to coast, across the seven seas'...the life and times of being a band. I've really loved watching your evolution into a totally new genre. Going into it completely open minded and seeing it for what it is. I'd love to grab a coffee with you when I come back to Chicago and just talk music with someone who truly loves the music.

That’s exactly how I feel listening to this song. “I’M FEELING THIS BRO”!!! It’s that kind of song you just love to sing as loud as you can!

first time i heard this song was a maiden cover band i saw in a bar. when i got home i went and listened to every maiden album until found it. goosebumps every time. Honestly nothing like an Iron Maiden interlude, pre solo, solo, post solo.....give me the feels like nothing else

When this song came out I was on tour with a band. And I realized I had no one back home. I then realized I had family in my band and road crew and songs like this. Almost 30 years later..... This song means so much to me. Thanks KTF

Doesn't help that they disappeared for weeks and then came back and reacted to that RATM cover from triple J. Not that I hated it, its just that everyone had already reacted to it by then.

@@sindelismsucks2968 Yea, the recent trend of reaction videos is very interesting. Obviously ppl are making money off of it, but everyone seems to react to the same artists/songs at the roughly the same time. Whether it's ppl reacting. Or vocal coaches reacting. Or drum teachers reacting. Man, I need to see how lucrative this gig is :)

@@glui2001 I hear that man. I started with Lostinvegas and it seemed like an amazing passion project. When I followed other reactions - yes, vocal coaches, drum coaches haha - I realised that if they see someone get huge numbers on a particular song, then they do it too. It has taken the fun out of it a little.
