If no-one has let you know already, Vanko tells Hammer "If I'm killed, don't wake me. It is better to die than to live in your world." in Russian and lies that it means "very good man" and later he tells him in Russian "you talk too much". At least according to what I've looked up, I don't speak Russian myself :)

For an idea as to the timeline, the post-credits scene of Incredible Hulk actually takes place after this (there's footage of Hulk at the university on one of the screens in the scene with Fury at the end. This, Incredible Hulk, and Thor all happen in the same week.

Meg at 7:42 : "This is pretty kinky though" Caleb's face: "I must never have whips in the house.." ...later, Natasha appears... Meg: "I`m pretty sus of her" Caleb's face: "OK, whips might be alright sometimes...still not electric though..." I think this is the best MegMage reaction performance so far, I'm really enjoying these.

While this isn't my favorite Iron Man movie of the three, I honestly don't think it was as bad as some people made it out to be. One thing I love that this movie gave was the introduction of Black Widow and War Machine. Great reaction once again from the both of you guys! Can't wait for the next one!!

It's definitely aged better than when it first came out, now that we've seen where the MCU has gone. I think the same applies for Age Of Ultron, definitely not as poor as people make it out to be.

@@SpartanShepard Oh yeah definitely agree. I actually rewatched Age of Ultron not too long ago and I don't recall ever really hating it. There were definitely things I didn't like about it (that I won't say to avoid spoilers) but it was not the worse thing I watched

Jon & RDJ fought hard to make IM2 the way they wanted to, knocking heads with Marvel management quite a bit along the way. They did their best to stay true to the character as they created him in IM1, and i personally enjoy IM2 very much. Just one more piece of an amazing wonderful puzzle.

Fun fact: Sam Rockwell (Hammer) is one of my favorite actors, won an Oscar just a few years ago for his role in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri". Among his first roles was the "Head Thug" in the 1990 Ninja Turtles movie. Most recently, he also provided the voice for "Mr. Wolf" (lead character) in The Bad Guys.

I'm sure someone may have mentioned this on the comments of your MCU reactions, but there are a series of what were called Marvel One Shots that take place in the MCU but fill in small details of the universe in between fllms. If you're watching the MCU films on Disney+, the One Shots are available there as well. They should be watched following specific films: The Consultant - should be watched right after Iron Man 2. A Funny Thing Happened on the way to Thor's Hammer - should be watched just prior to watching Thor, it takes place just prior to the end credit scene of Iron Man 2. Agent Carter - should be watched following Captain America: The First Avenger. Item 47 - should be watched following The Avengers. All Hail the King - should be watched following Iron Man 3. I would love to see you react to these Marvel One Shots along with the main MCU films!

Unpopular opinion: as a die-hard Iron Man fan since first watching his movie when I was 7 and it first came out; the first and second movie are my favorites of him, third one I don't hate it mostly because of the characters but plot wasn't really well thought out I think, but as someone who connected so much with Tony's character when I was a kid and then re watching the second movie when I was a teenager, it just meant so much to me on a personal level, I was struggling with a lot of stuff back then and even though it wasn't at all the same that Tony was going through, those two movies left a lesson with me about trying to be a better person, being self-aware and trying to trust those people closest to me, till this day I still struggle with those but that's why I love coming back to this movie as a reminder that if Tony Stark as flawed as he is can still be a good person and be loved by his important people, then so can I... yeah corny as hell xD but this movie has a special place in my heart (Also as a side note, this movie is a gold mine for Tony-angst fanfics and is not really explored in that aspect anymore which is a bit sad)

Ivan will not be back, neither will his bird, but Im a fan of thinking that his bird is off somewhere in the rainforests living his best life. Rhodey became War Machine, Black Widow and SHIELD are now on the scene. Also, Tony has a lot of mistakes he's still gonna make, some of them forgivable.....and some will be, sadly, tragic and tear-jerking. But he will always be Iron Man.

The best things on Iron Man movies is the presence of real big tech guys like Larry Ellingson (Oracle) and Elon Musk (SpaceX)... Ok, they probably paid hard to appear, but is interesting anyway 😎 The worse thing: the "transformation" scenes like "Winx" style. Tony "Diva" Stark take time to wear the suit so we have enough time to appreciate every detail of his armor...

@@ISavant Not at all, Larry Ellinson want to be owner of the biggest database company in the world, not Tony Stark. Same way, Musk doesn't want to fly on some armor, he want to launh rockets to Mars. And yes, both of them want publicity, so they pay to appear on Iron Man movies. The difference between you and them, is that they are actually doing the things they want. As neither of them are heirs, lottery tickets winners, or works on anything else but tech, be rich like that is a consequence, not the cause.

Hey, Meg and Caleb! The second Iron Man entry is a total blast that ups the ante of the first film by having Tony ride high on the celebrity of his public declaration as well as suffer privately from deadly blood poisoning caused by his arc reactor, create a new element as well as a new suit, contend with a vengeful technical genius as well as a corporate antagonist and engage in a colossal three-way armored battle for the climax! The Hammer-Vanko storyline is clearly a tribute to one of Iron Man's signature arcs -- "Armor Wars" -- wherein Tony has to shut down every operation that's appropriated stolen StarkTech including SHIELD! This is also the only film to touch on Tony's alcoholism which should have been the subject of a whole movie as it is CENTRAL to the character. The legendary "Demon in a Bottle" arc has Tony hit rock bottom and turn over his Iron Man duties to James Rhodes which would have been some great material for both Robert Downey, Jr. and Don Cheadle as the new 'Rhodey' replacing Terrence Howard. The film boasts an incredible cast with RDJ portraying Tony Stark in full manic mode as a man keenly aware of his imminent mortality yet in simultaneous aggressive denial. He is supported by a nakedly envious Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer, a menacingly bemused Mickey Rourke as Ivan Vanko aka Whiplash, a lusciously lethal Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow and an earnest, exasperated Don Cheadle as Lt. Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes aka War Machine. Garry Shandling even shows up in a small role he reprises elsewhere in the MCU as Senator Stern. The "His Girl Friday"-like romantic banter between Tony and Gwyneth Paltrow's Virginia 'Pepper' Potts remains a comic highlight with Clark Gregg's Agent Phil Coulson serving as a great straight man. I also really like John Slattery's contribution as elder Howard Stark who looms so large in Tony's life. Slattery's portrayal in Stark's promotional recordings is a hybrid of a young Howard Hughes and a middle-aged Walt Disney. Of course, director Jon Favreau as Harold 'Happy' Hogan and Paul Bettany as JARVIS return. Perpetually p***ed-off Sam Jackson as Col. Nick Fury swings by to drop some dark Stark legacy in Tony's lap as well as drop a hint of Asgardian doings in the Southwest. Leslie Bibb returns as journalist Christine Everhart as does Tim Guinee as USAF Major Allen. Kate Mara has a bit part as a process server and Elon Musk appears as himself! TRIVIA: 1. Natasha's belt buckle carries her sigil which is the red angular hourglass shape that is found on the actual backs of black widow spiders. 2. The events of "Iron Man 2", "The Incredible Hulk" and "Thor" all occur during one week in MCU-time called Fury's Big Week! EASTER EGGS: 1. The half-finished, star-spangled convex object Tony uses to balance his makeshift particle accelerator is a prototype of Captain America's shield! 2. While Tony reads his psych evaluation by Natasha, one of the holo-screens shows a field reporter covering the aftermath of Hulk's Culver University rampage indicating that Hulk's adventure is still in progress while Tony has just completed his which places "Iron Man 2" earlier in the chronology than "Incredible Hulk". 3. Tony's status as a SHIELD consultant sets up the One-Shot "The Consultant" which accompanies "Incredible Hulk" recontextualizing its barroom end-credit scene with Ross. 4. The kid in the Iron Man helmet Tony saves from the drone at the Expo is a pre-Spider-Man Peter Parker! CAMEO: 1. Stan Lee shows up as Larry King complete with suspenders as Tony descends the escalator from the opening Stark Expo! END-CREDIT SCENE: 1. The end-credit scene is actually an excerpt from "Thor" which shows Coulson arriving in New Mexico at the crater made by the impact of Thor's fallen hammer, Mjolnir. The next chronological stop in the MCU is a featurette called a One-Shot that occurs at the end of "Iron Man 2" prior to the end-credit scene which is actually a clip from "Thor". "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer" serves as a little prelude to "Thor" as Coulson travels to New Mexico and stumbles onto some unexpected action. It is found on the "Captain America: The First Avenger" blu-ray and DPlus.
