So much can change in 15 years. Seeing Tony so smug and carefree in 2008, going above and beyond in 2012 to protect life, mortified that his efforts were for nothing in 2016 to sacrificing everything in 2023, his journey has been an astounding legend.

Ten Rings: we need Tony Stark alive so he can build us Jerico. Also, Ten Rings: *blasts the convoy to smithereens*
@stephansusholtz3 жыл бұрын
The Jericho was a weapons system, while they were just using individual armaments during the attack. Besides they were holding him hostage for the Iron Monger and thought they would put him to work while they had him.
@str20102 жыл бұрын
That's because the ten rings were unaware Stark was in the convoy. Before, Obadiah stane secretly supplied them with stark industries weapons. The ten rings thought they had a reliable ally. Then stane told them the convoy was an important target and had them attack it. When they found out it was Tony Stark, they were upset that Stane tried to use them, and held him captive. Both to make a point to Stane and to hopefully find a way of producing their own Jericho missiles using Stark

I love how the MCU started completely grounded in reality with Tony being a defense contractor during the war in the Middle East. it blended perfectly with the conflict at the time. Now we have Dr. Strange jumping through multiverses like an uber driver.
@godemperorofmankind3.0912 жыл бұрын
i wonder how the war in the Middle East even still happens considering the MCU split off from our own timeline tens of thousands of years ago. how have the Eternals, Wakanda, Sorcerers and Asgardians affected so little that the same wars still happened? sooo yeah this movies existence is stupidly impossible.
@bellaqua4324 Жыл бұрын
@@godemperorofmankind3.091 well, to answer your question 1. Eternals never interfered and the only time they were freely roaming aroudn were B.C 2. Wakandans starts off as a regular nation until the meteorite strike, they seemingly to participate on WW1 so that's around 1600 - 1900, they would affect nothing considering they shut themselves off sometime in those time points 3. Sorcerers aren't even meant to be publicly shown, they're protecting the reality from the shadows while blending with society 4. Asgardians doesn't really touch earth and remains a mythology so they would affect nothing as well With all those 4 obviously not interacting with the human society, everything would still happens just like our in real world

I love how they slowly built up to that stuff. If they came out of the gate with the craziness in 2008, I’m not sure people would’ve went with it. Instead they gradually pushed the envelope more and more. I still remember back in 2014 thinking Guardians of the Galaxy was standalone, and being a little worried when I realized it wasn’t and that they’d be in the Avengers movies. I thought they’d be too out there for what the MCU was at that point, but I think they integrated it all perfectly. Once GotG was out there, I think that was the last hurdle they needed to jump. The MCU now had its own Star Wars galaxy complete with talking raccoons and trees. Doctor Strange and magic were almost small in comparison.

It's amazing how Tony's cocky, calm demeanour we all know so well just drops as soon as shit gets real, his power disappears once bullets start flying. Totally different from the man he'd later become, but the charisma is still there. Tony develops as a person but doesn't just become a new man overnight.
