The Tech simply isn’t invented yet. The Military has barely cracked a Respectable Man-sized Exo Suit even with Billions Of Dollars in Funding. It’s an Energy Problem. A Suit that can Fly properly is simply just not there yet, The Jetpack tech has barely advanced since the 1960s, and they have Companies with Alot of Smart People and Millions in Funding and the proper resources. If you want a Suit that can fly you either need to Build Wings (like the Falcon Wings) or give up on Flying (For now). The Helmet Screen Tech, Armor and Software has been available for a Long time tho. Best Alex Lab can do is create a Low Bullet Proof suit that He can comfortably move around in with some low level exo suit functions. He’d still have the Helmet tech and Propulsers and whatnot. Some other tech too. If Hacksmith helps him out…Then it’d be a Fully other thing. They might solve the Tesla Coil Problem and Fix the Energy problem completely!
@ZamoraksApprentice4 ай бұрын
@@therealmr.incredible3179 Tried my hands on such project too and came to the conclusion that the lightest version of the ironman suit would be a mixture of Nylon threads, carbon fiber, and electrolyzers as shown in this video. The energy problem for constant flight is a problem indeed and can only be sustained through either wings as you've mentioned, or combination with a wingsuit. This would mean you're not really flying, rather gliding through the air, but would only require propulsion upwards, and energy for braking without falling. Batteries are simply too heavy, and using combustion systems might be more energy efficient, but the whole combustion engine also weighs a ton. I'd love to see someone work this out though, but we'll have to wait for a denser form of energy without any side effects.
@therealmr.incredible31794 ай бұрын
@@ZamoraksApprentice See, The Technology is already there now all we need is for someone or a Group of People to put it together and make a Real Life Version of ‘Iron-Man’. Weren’t they working on some Li-ion Batteries that are supposedly very advanced and powerful? What about those Tiny Nuclear Batteries? I think this Energy problem is gonna be Fixed come the end of the Decade. Also very Cool that you got your Hands on such a Project! Mind telling me more about it?
@ZamoraksApprentice4 ай бұрын
@@therealmr.incredible3179 Ya sure mate. There's different parts of it so I'll divide them in underneath: Frame construction: Lightweight and strong, made out of carbon fiber, combined with strategically positioned pulleys to optimize tension and movement. Pulley system: Created for manipulating the wing-like appendages (these will not be used for propulsion, rather for braking at high speeds). Wings design: Made out of a composite structure where the nylon threads would be used as a tension element. Keeps it lightweight and stable. electrolyzers for power: Produces hydrogen used for propulsion. Integrate fuel cells to provide the electrical power for additional components of the exoskeleton (sensors and control systems) control mechanicsms: Use the sensors which detect movement in our muscles to mimic the movement in the exoskeleton (microcontrollers and feedback systems) Incorporation of safety features are needed, and alot of testing out to prevent failure when flying mid air. Those are the hard lines basically.

Basically he is sending electric charge through water to split it into hydrogen and oxygen, also called brown gas when they are both together is gas form. He uses this brown gas as his main fuel. Here instead of accumulating gas to build it up and then release in a pulsing action, he aims to let a smooth stream of the pressurized gas go through. Brown gas is super flammable. Like, he most flammable thing out there, so he is practically just going to light these streams of gas on fire while they are connected to his hand. he applies 3 streams angled into a central core to keep the streams thin and to focus the overall energy of the three (Or I think so from what I got from him) and uses a liquid cooling system to cool the thing down. I imagine that is what you might have picked up already though, but those are the key principal of what this is, a plasma torch built on his arm which is really cool.

Actually the arc reactor is only a hyped concept.... You can notice it's only receiving energy from another energy source
@derpybirb4 жыл бұрын
@@lordjovin2504 True, the reactor in his suit is not capable of actually powering anything electrically (I hope I'm not wrong) but rather generating gases for what is essentially a handheld plasma cutter. And unless you wanna bring in Carbon Nanotubes or Graphene Batteries both of which are still at an experimental stage currently there are no better batteries than Li-ion or Li-Pol. And trust me you don't wanna strap a nuclear reactor to the chest (impossible and improbable concept). But the guy is still a GOAT for building all of that with scraps basically.

@TopDoom Slayer: Contrary to common belief flying with just the boots would be really challenging especially with current technology. The amount of force exerted would have to be greater than the weight of the person. Also jet propulsion under the boots is not a great idea for balance. It messes with the CG or something. Check out Hacksmith's Flying like Iron-Man project, he explained it better. The best tech out there currently for flying like Iron Man is by Richard Browning from Gravity Industries.

After watching Alex Lab Iron Man concepts, it made me think for a second... He is using electrosys to separate the hydrogen and oxygen molecules from water to obtain the fuel and oxydizer for his system, now, the first thing we can notice here is that he is not only obtaining fuel for the glove, but as a matter of fact, a big power storage with all that hydrogen and oxygen building up. Basically, if one were to build a full suit, it would be more or less a giant hydrogen fuel cell. Thing here is, you need power to break the water atoms creating potential energy, and transforming this potential energy back to kinectic energy will create some loses, which would render the model useless, unless you add some external devices to transform potential into kinectic energy, solar energy for instance. If we can solve the problems withing the hydrogen fuel cells concept that we face today and refine our knowledge of Hydraulics running on purely water, then I would say it would be possible to create a full operational Iron Man suit working on Hydrogen. Another thought I had was the viability of using a high power output pulse/laser to ionize the air ahead of the glove, creating plasma would probably be enough to permit a higher velocity output of the hydrogen from the glove, creating a longer and hotter beam. There would be alot of challenges (as Alex say) in such concept. Am not an engineer myself, and I this might be just a very dumb idea too unpratical to happen, but it might not be, who knows?

I'll act as if I unferstood what he just wrote
@justsomeone8994 жыл бұрын
But how do you mean to use solar energy? It would not be as efficient and take more time, you would need to charge the solar cells so you need a big battery which means more weight
@the-fog-is-here4 жыл бұрын
@@justsomeone899 maybe hydraulics could hold the weight of the suit, saw someone make a hydraulic suit that made the user significantly stronger. If it was incorporated into a full built weight wouldnt be an issue

@Dylan Barnett yes could be a try worth, but it reminds me on that military fail scene in the iron man movie where the top half of the suit turned around too strong and broke the guys back xD Edit: if the goal is to have a suit that can fly, the weight does matter still ;)

Someone broke into my friend's house back in '01, through the bedroom window after a rainstorm, ransacked the bedroom (finding nothing of value but leaving muddy footprints). When they walked into the main area of the house, they saw the huge pile of loaded magazines, AK-47's stacked against the kitchen island, with a sniper rifle atop, that he hadn't moved after taking pictures of. The police were laughing about how the footprints on the linoleum floor got really far apart (thief running) to the front door (left standing open). If someone broke into Alex's Lab and was greeted by the sight of this guy getting up off his seat clad in what looks like an early Ironman power-suit with an Arc-Reactor glowing on his chest, and with a POP three flames ignite on his raised hand...the smell of excrement would pervade the room, as the thief ran screaming, pursued by a mad-scientist/engineer, laughing maniacally.
