That particular line actually comes from "Superior Iron Man", where Tony is EVIL (and where the Endo-Sym armor itself is actually from)! Superior Iron Man came from a comic where something inverted the morality of Marvel's Heroes & Villains (turning Heroes into Villains and Villains into Heroes), but when a method of reversing that process was discovered, Evil Tony found a way to protect himself from being turned back into a Hero, so that he stayed evil.

Whether you'll want to read it will depend on whether you want to read Tony as basically a villain, since in this story his morality has been altered by a spell. Were you a fan of Hydra Cap or not? Some people dislike reading dark versions of their fave characters, but personally I'm all for it. Plus the suit he has in this run is badass, it's the endo-sym armor shown in this video.

Honestly, I'm surprised this was even in question; I actually thought this DB was obvious from the start. Lex is arrogant, isn't even the one who created his own suit, only upgraded, and the only reason he can give his 'competition' a run for their money is because all it's weaponry is specifically designed to kill him/them. Tony is the genius solely responsible to the Iron Man suits, he's often right there in the thick of a fight, and is constantly seeking to push his boundaries even further beyond the 'best'. He regularly throws down with 'gods' and their ilk, and doesn't need to rely on a magic 'I win' alien element to do it. Even when I first saw this, and knew little to nothing about either character, I was entirely sure Tony would win.

In general lex is tunnel visioned on superman, while iron man is prepared for anything, it's why I feel like batman would lose because he needs to prepare while Tony stays strapped at all times

I think since tony suit was out of power and that lazer attack didn't effect his suit or kill tony was BS. That would've been hot enough to melt a metal suit and tony tbh. They should've had a different ending were he get his suit like maybe he called his suit while lex had his back turned and form into the white suit.

I know that Stark would likely win regardless, but I do wish they had used a different set up. Luthor was a master of shaping encounters to his advantage, so it's unlikely that he would have gone straight into enemy territory at the start. Again, Stark probably would have won anyway, but I think making Stark go to Luthor on Luthor's turf would have made for a better fight. I still love it, don't get me wrong. I'm just saying I wouldn't be upset if they decided to do a rematch.
