I burn is the theme of Yang (the Y in RWBY). Her personality and Caenis' don't match entirely but some of the lyrics absolutely work with Poseidon's number 1 hater. Here's some examples: "You're standing too close to a flame that's burning."; "High as you can go, but I'm the one who's gonna soar." and the chorus "I burn! Can't hold me now and you're not stopping me! I burn! Swing all you want, like a fever I will take you down!"

It's an effect unique to the card, and what his blue striped sword debuff does. If you use the card while it has that effect one of the debuffs disappears but you get curse iirc

They added visual cue to ailment debuffs couple months ago. For this one though, it's more of a visual representation of Douman's gimmick. Every so often, he would give you burning card debuff(s) and the game shows that by literally burning one random card.
