Its always cool to see the variations in what guys carry, and why. One thing on my list is paper maps of the areas I expect to be - just in case there is no cell service (which is the case in some of the areas I travel to), etc. Also, visual signaling devices can be a good idea for some. Small mirror, orange flag, strobe light, etc. Keep up the good work Boyz!

In a pinch, if you're in a situation where you need to be rescued and are needing to signal someone, the mirrors in/on your car is a great way to go. If your car at least has power, turn your headlights on and or flashers.

Great stuff. I'd add tools to keep under your back seat. I have bought several multi purpose screw driver, socket, and other random tools at big box stores. Usually on sale and in the middle isles. Great to keep ready. I've used them more than the guns and ammo. And they worth a lot in a BO scenario.

I use Kotex pads for trauma bandages becasue they are cheap and handy andnyou cn easily apply pressure with them. Between those and some tournaquets you are good to go on larger wounds

Only problem with this is the mck won't accept a pistol with a light or red dot so if u have either of those mounted to the pistol you'd have to take them off before installing it I to the mck. I had the same plan to keep an mck in a go bag in my truck but I then I just decided to keep a glock permanently installed so I wouldn't have to detach my light and red dot from my edc g19 if it was just a light it wouldn't be that big of an issue but removing a rmr is just to much especially if your trying to install it quick

I used to be a big believer in keeping kit in your car. I've since changed my mind. Obviously, keep winter stuff, non-perishable food, water, and med kit, chains, etc....but NO weapons. With the amount of vehicle thefts and burglaries and the amount of NCIC entries i have to do just in my community on stolen firearms 9/10 times, they were from an unattended vehicle.

Not sure if I heard correctly or not but that your children ride in the back seat. Based on my experience of 25+ years in law-enforcement I would recommend not to keep the fire extinguisher in your enclosed cabin. I’ve seen these things set off and it could cause breathing problems for your kids. Real bad scenario that you’re driving on the highway without chance of pulling over and your kids taking in the dry powder.

@@IronInfidel to be honest with you I would get in touch with your fire rescue units and ask them for their advice in reference to using a small fire extinguisher on a car fire. I don’t carry one in my personal vehicles I do carry one in my patrol car because it’s our department policy. In our department our K-9 units do not carry fire extinguishers for the dogs safety for the reason that I mentioned above for the kids.

It’s a possibility, but having it securely mounted, out of reach of children with the handle blocked, it’s extremely unlikely it’s going to discharge. I’ve seen them set off as well, and every instance was because the extinguisher was either improperly secured or exposed to other objects that could bang into it.

Alex, if you do test out the mck, please test the accuracy, and reliability. In all serious evals I have ever seen, it results in both lessened accuracy and reliability. The way that it mounts up to the frame of the Glock makes for flex and movement between the sighting system and the barrel. The parts of the mck around the ejection port can and do reflect spent casings back into the gun, causing malfunctions. I know of absolutely no SOF groups who have tested them and like them. Thank you dudes for all you do!

@@IronInfidel Very possible, and interesting point. That said, the same could be said (and has been proven to be true) about serious alternatives that are actually duty ready, such as B&T and Flux. I have done a lot of research on the CAA products, I was incentivized to do so. Being an engineer and weapon designer specifically in this field and having seen many tests, I have a very poor opinion of these products, and believe that they are simply money grabs. I do really appreciate your open mindedness, and as always, I very much appreciate what you do here with Iron Infidel, along with these awesome dudes that you collaborate with.

I have the Gen 2 and have had no issues once I got the optic adjusted and put graphite powder on the moving parts. I can’t say enough about how much I like mine! Getting a threaded barrel and linear compensator really reduced noise and improved accuracy at longer ranges, and of course it looks cool

Besides having all the gear, I really need to tint my windows….keep me and my gear safe. *I also carry my canvas bag of mechanics tools, in addition to jumper cables, gloves, rain poncho, ratchet straps. Don’t forget about making sure spare tire is new and filled up. * I’m also considering learning how to siphon gas and getting right equipment for that, could be a very valuable skill to know *I Need to get fire extinguisher *I also have highway maps for the bordering states of California, and also city street maps for my bordering cities I live near, which is basically Berkeley/Oakland/San Francisco…. Those could also be incredibly valuable in case I had to leave the city but wanted to find alternate routes out on city streets. Loved here for a long time and the city streets are so confusing. Thanks!!!!! Love the Ford representation 😎 besides my little car, I have a 1997 Expedition 5.4L 227,000 miles and this truck is a beast. I did an oil analysis for the engine and it’s in perfect condition….. anyways, that’s my bug out vehicle. I love that truck so much ❤️❤️❤️

You can buy an air compressor that plugs into your cigarette lighter from amazon or harbor frieght for like $30. Also, i keep a jump box rather than jumper cables in my car, so i can jump myself if im in the middle of nowhere at 3am. I also keep a jug of oil, antifreeze, and separate funnels for each, you never know if you could have a small leak going unnoticed that could have your oil or temperature light come on. In addition, a streamlight headlamp, a class 3 high vis vest (a vest with wider reflectors and sleeves, recc'd by DOT for highways) and class 3 high vis raincoat. When its both dark AND raining is when people turn absolutely stupid on the road. Oh, and a giant 3d cell maglite that cant possibly get lost under the seat.

@@journeyfurthur6396 jumpncarry make the best jump boxes, they are big and heavy because they are lead acid batteries like a car battery. Yes they are expensive but have much more juice than those tiny lithium ion jumpboxes, ive had a few of them that were too weak. Never had a problem with the jumpncarry
