IRONMAN 70.3 PRO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - my first experience racing with the best

What a wild ride... it was Miguel's first ever World Championship as a professional (3rd pro half ironman ever) and, to be honest, we were just happy to be there. Still can't believe the season that's unfolded before us, and although there's much improvement to be had, we think it was quite a successful race!

At the start of my first 70.3 my daughter told me: “don’t drown, don’t crash and don’t trip”. I managed to avoid all those and finished. Every time I race, I keep those in mind. If I avoid those it’s a great day! But I’m a back of the pack kind of guy. Therefore, I have to live vicariously through you, Jenna and other KZbin pros. I keep getting better. It’s so exciting to watch you guys succeed. 3:48 is so damn fast. Obviously it wasn’t Blummenfelt’s day but it’s still amazing that you beat him lol. First of all congratulations doode! I watch your guys’ videos and stoked on your accomplishment. My gf and I were watching the women’s race having a coffee inside the stadium bleachers and I come across a couple walking out which the lady had a sf giants hat as I commented on it. Told her I’m from the Santa Cruz area. She mentioned they were there to watch her son race! Very humble as they walked on. Honestly your bike data is really good and imo good enough to atleast stay closer to the front. Now I think it's about finding more speed for that power and I think windtunnel testing/track testing could potentially drastically improve your bike time! The talent and hard work is there, now the top step in a pro race is even closer! Crush it Miguel, you're crazy :)
