@9:28 I feel like it would be hard to redesign the Pec deck arms with the pop pins that the Superbench uses to hold the attaches in. Great review. I would love to see Ironmaster make some more attachments too. For the Im2000 and the Superbench 💯💯💯

Thank you, Reynaldo! I agree, it would be difficult to redesign the Pec Dec. I was thinking of something similar to Titan’s Pec Fly / Rear Delt Machine for the arm adjustment mechanism, but it would be tricky…especially with the plate posts on the spine of the machine. And I second, more attachments for the IM 2000 and Super Bench! 👏

The Ultimate Row Attachment is a true winner of all the attachment featured in your review. There are so many exercise that can be done with that attachment and I’m glad you took the time to demonstrate them. What like about that attachment is you can use it on other brands of exercise equipment (power racks with a lat machine attachment and stand alone lat towers). I’m also impressed you can use it to do barbell lat rows with many variations. Overall this was a great review and I’m looking forward to the next video.

Bought my URH in June, I think it'll be $190 well spent, haven't used it much for landmine rows but it did allow me to stand in a much wider less compromised starting position compared to my old Tbar row handle when I did do them, but I did use it alot on my high pulley system so I could do high rows sitting on the floor, so that was my lat work for a few months Good thing I bought the lat attachment for my Rugged rack last week, delivered on Thursday, put it up on Thursday night, completely braced the rack together and eliminated any wobble, don't think I'll need plate storage now for the rack to weigh it down, but yeah, Monday and Wednesday back and chest training sessions I think I'll give my URH an absolute beating, pretty excited to try out a heap of movements that I wasn't able to. Trained legs yesterday and did cable rope pull throughs for glutes/hammies as an accessory, boy I only needed a 10kg plate a side to get the work in, far better exercise than kettlebell swings as it creates time under tension but the cable eliminates momentum compared to KB swings which are 100% momentum Went to my local Bunnings also last week (Aussie Home Depot) and got them to cut a 1m chain in half, so hopefully I'll have enough chain length to do chest flys as I've got 8 carabiners to use now but also to extend length if needed, 3 small pear ones, 3 large oval ones and 2 large pear ones, looks like I will need 5 to perform the flys. Pretty excited with the amount of hacks/exercises the lat attachment and URH will open up however though
@redwhiteandblueblood
@redwhiteandblueblood 2 жыл бұрын
Also been experimenting with bands lately using the carabiners and a couple different cable attachments, like the triceps rope and 1 arm stirrup handle Small-medium bands seem to be the perfect option, fold them in half over chin up bar and it doubles the resistance but also eliminates a heap of play in them, works brilliantly for facepulls and stiff arm pushdowns
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 2 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you got the URH. It’s out of stock here. A landmine, high pulley, and low pulley opens up a world of possibilities with the URH. And like you’re saying, throw in some bands and you’ve got a lot of possibilities for a small amount of money.

@@HomeGymHacksandReviews nice I think last year when I only had a dumbbell and bench set up when everything was sold out, I was able to lose a few kilos there as I had to switch up my training style to high intensity hypertrophy/HIIT as I only had light-medium dumbbells to work with, however was interesting to see that pattern there Come end of 2020 once things got back in stock I swapped over to strength as I had a rack and a barbell, but 2022 will definitely be a hypertrophy/fat loss/shred kinda year for me as I've had nearly a year of strengthening the lower back/hip area which is my weak points and have a legs routine to maintain that balance there, so hoping these new toys will kick-start the fat loss again now I've got a good base to work around

So I do have the prime handels but not a bar to hook them up to , would you go with buying a bar for the prime handels or buying the ironmind lat pulldown bar thanks need to make a good decision you have helped alot in the past and really main thing will be for lat pulldowns and low rows on a old commercial lat machine , but the lat machine is only about 88 inches tall I had the spreader bar was not so good cause of length
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 2 жыл бұрын
For lat Pulldowns, you may run into the same issue you did with the spreader bar…the R0-T8 handles hanging too low. In my review for the RO-T8 handles you can see what they look like attached to the Ultimate Row Handle - they will hang even lower than with a the Prime Long or Short Bar.

Hey man, I see the pec dec comes with another cable with a hook. How easy is it to remove the cable that came with the IM2000 originally? Do you have to remove much or just a case of unclipping carabiners and then installing pec Dec cables like you’ve shown in your video? PS IM2000 on order with j hooks, spotter arms and Olympic sleeves 🤭🤩
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 2 жыл бұрын
Congratulations on your purchases! It’s just unclipping carabiners. The new cable doesn’t have a stopper…that’s really the only difference. It’s all very easy…just make sure the cable hooks to the bar then goes between the two upper pulleys rather than over both before connect to the pec dec cable. Otherwise, the cable will rub the upper frame of the IM 2000.

I'm wondering the ease of attaching the hook to something else besides the bar for small muscle groups. The major problem I see with this equipment is you are limited to a minimum starting weight of 35 pounds(the weight of the bar I believe) which is going to be too heavy for small muscle groups worked when doing things like cable side lateral raises. It may also be too much for some individuals for other exercises.
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 2 жыл бұрын
With some straps or other type of tie down, you can attach a dumbbell to the hook, attach a small mesh bag (like Angles 90 sales) filled with small plates attached to the hook, etc. You are right. For 1 arm side lateral raises it would be very difficult with the weight of the bar.
@RobGraham1
@RobGraham1 2 жыл бұрын
I have an IM2000 and yes, you can attach a standard olympic loading pin to the hook at the end of the cable. Just raise the smith barbell to the top setting and lock it into place. Then you can do one arm curls, side laterals, etc. with weights below the minimum of 36 lbs when using the smith barbell as the plate holder.
@JohnSmith-jg4rq
@JohnSmith-jg4rq 2 жыл бұрын
@@RobGraham1 Would you buy the IM2000 again?
@RobGraham1
@RobGraham1 2 жыл бұрын
@@JohnSmith-jg4rq Yes. For my needs it's outstanding. I will reply later with more detail. Also, I created a cable crossover, with two pulleys, one on each sleeve of the smith bar. Works beautifully. I use the loading pin in the middle, so two cables attach to a carabineer on the loading pin. In fact since I place the pulleys on the smith bar, I can make them wider than the frame and thus get a better pec stretch than built in cables in a Force USA rack or a Rep rack with pulleys on the uprights. If I load the smith bar sleeves with plates, I can adjust the width of the pulleys. That's the only limiter for the IM2000, is not having two pulleys but easily solved with my contraption. Works for high pulley movements.

How does this pec deck compare to another such as the Titan fitness one? Price and quality/feel as criteria. Also, the Ultimate Row Handle seems well worth it and also innovate.
@HomeGymHacksandReviews
@HomeGymHacksandReviews 2 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree regarding the Ultimate Row Handle. As for comparing this against the Titan: there are the obvious differences of one standing, one seated. One with handles and one without. The IM is considerably less expensive if you have the IM 2000 and the IM has a smaller footprint. I can max out the Titan’s listed weight capacity, but I have not tried / nor do I think I could max out the IM. The Titan gives you the rear delt option (although it lacks a full ROM if not hacked). Both are smooth, both feel effective to me. I don’t think one feels much more effective than the other…just different mainly because of arm position.

you could get custom j hooks made. be aware the the holes on the uprights only go through the front, thus the "pin" of the j hook would have to be less than 2 inches. so I doubt any off the shelf j hooks would work. just take a look at how Ironmaster made their j hooks to see the short "pin". you could ask someone like black widow training gear to make them.
