A lot of people make fun of others on those rides saying things like "stop screaming! you're barely moving!" When they don't realize those things make you feel like you're on an actual high speed rollercoaster

High speeds and/or twists and turns I can handle. What I CAN'T handle is the feeling of falling. I'll gladly go on Big Thunder or Space Mountain, but no one can make me ride on Towers or (formerly) Splash Mountain unless they want to hear me scream like a girl

That particular ride flings you upwards like 13 floors from 0 to 60 real quick, then freefalls you back down, then throws you back up again. In my opinion, it's the most fun ride at Disneyland and also the literal opposite of a "you're barely moving" ride.
