@@Merrygate_ I mean, if you remember Ironmouse is in extremely poor health. Like, girl can't even go outside or she'll, quite literally, die. And she's usually got tubes in her nose. Hell Melody made her laugh so hard once her medical monitoring equipment started going off thinking she was dying on stream. I don't think its an insult at all, I rather think its a compliment that she is so goddamn good despite the limitations in her way.

So, is it me, or does it seem like each version of Mousey's model, not counting her original stock model, is like a different stage of her vtuber journey? Like, her old 2D model always seemed kinda shy and timid and times, like Mousey hadn't fully gotten used to it yet. Then her new 2D model was more confident, didn't have the shybrows that the old one did. Whereas her 3D model, with how well it tracks how happy she is doing this, is like she's broken completely through. Sorry if it's a little muddled, couldn't figure out how to properly put it into words.

@@29kesiu yeah, Hololive use their own proprietary software that motion tracks through a cellphone. Most of VShojo and Snuffy have a lot more complex (and expensive) setups. The advantage of the HL software is that it's more lightweight on the computer, leaving more power for gaming. That's also why a lot of even VShojo switch to Live2D models for streaming.

I am very picky when it comes to music, I didn't like the original song, I don't like love songs, but her voice is just so surprisingly incredible that I had to add this to my playlist. The fact that all these mainstream artists who barely sound tolerable after a ton of audio work get millions and there are people with true talent like this who can sound this good winging a song not getting the recognition they deserve is a crime. Assuming she hasn't already written stuff out but chose not to share it due to self-esteem issues. Her vibrato is always so active. I wonder why? Is it nerves? I barely have any vibrato at all, because I strain too much, so I wonder when I hear somebody with a really active vibrato what's causing it. I feel like vibrato should be something that can be controlled, right? I just have been told that it "just happens" and is this and that, and I get all these weird, contradictory answers.

She's had operatic training, and in opera we're always taught to be doing vibrato the whole time since it's an indicator of good breath support. It's mostly required in opera due to the heavy projection demands, so you need to make sure your support is top notch. It's not a requirement in other genres obviously, but I'm guessing the habit just bled over even when she's not going opera mode

Just so y'all know, she's not actually putting on a voice here, she's explained it a few times. She's always had a pretty high voice, but she used to have a much wider vocal range when she was younger. Her vocal chords were damaged when she caught a throat infection that left her unable to speak for a year, and ever since then it's become painful for her to use her lower register. I remember her saying that at the time, she had thought she would never be able to sing again. She still does use her operatic voice from time to time, but she struggles to maintain it and you can tell it takes a lot out of her. I remember she got really upset after she tried to sing Misterioso on stream in her lower register. It was difficult for her, and Connor called her and tried to cheer her up. You can see the first attempt (when she used the voice she's comfortable using), the second (when she sang it in operatic but stopped because it's painful) and the third (about a month later when she managed to sing the full song successfully) on this channel. Just search for Misterioso in the channel page. If you wanna see her explain some of this, then watch the VOD on her Twitch page called "WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF" about an hour and 13 minutes in, right after she sings. Also, near the end of the game they played, she told Connor about the year when she couldn't speak. I don't think this stuff was clipped on KZbin. Point is, she's always using her natural voice on stream, the opera voice is the one she has to force. P.S. Sorry for the super long explanation.

Recently she also said what she was training for, told people to look it up. Whatever Italian words used to describe an opera singer, I forget... checking history. "colortura soprano is a singer, usually female, who sings pitches at the top of the human vocal range. " Even if she did lose some of her lower notes she could probably still do what she wanted but with less range overall. Seeing how hard she is on herself for not being perfect while singing as well as her still saying she can become perfect and is shooting to be there someday we all got something to look forward to.
