Elijah Mohammad was simply a man, nothing more. Further, his involvement in the NOI always made it seem more like a cult than a sincere religion. It is my position that he was not to be trusted, nor does he sit next to God. While I enjoy listening to others' perspectives and hearing L.F. speak about certain topics, it is clear that his reverence for Elijah was flawed based on an unproven ideal that Elijah was not buried, but he is physically with God. Ultimately, this is a blatant contradiction to L.F.'s position that there is no afterlife. This speech is replete with inconsistencies and unsubstantiated claims regarding Elijah's importance to Black people. At its best, it is a grandiose view of a mentor/friend. At its worst, it is a glaring example of how one man can persuade a people to worship him.
