Newbie here. About cleaning, not sure I understand about cleaning in warm water. Does that process interfere with sticking the stamp image back onto the sheet that it came on?......

Cleaning it actually allows it to stick better on the backing. :) If you find the soapy water doesn't do the trick, wipe your stamps with baby wipes and they'll stick nicely again either to the backing or an acrylic mount.

OK, another question. This time about masking. The concept makes perfect sense to me yet what I don't get is how are the masking pieces exactly the shape of the letter or the sea shell.....etc?

The reusable plastic masks come with the stamps, so they come precut to you in the right shape. You just have to pop them out of the sheet - easy peasy!
