Guys, I live in Arkansas and after I recover from injuries and learn to walk again. I'm going to make it a point to visit Iron Trap Garage if that is at all possible. Yall are such a inspiration, at least to me.

I used old project cars for recovery tools. It helps a lot. Gives you something to strive for and something to get up and do everyday. Today is two years since my neck surgery. As of today what started then is out of control now. Old shitty cars are great for PT and mental health. I wish you the best of luck.

When I first built my car, it had 11:1 pistons etc. and when you got over 2k rpm the temp gage would start to climb. I didn't run a thermostat and noticed that when I would slow down it would cool down. I took a thermostat and cut the plunger out and used the plate as a restrictor and I worked like a charm.

For reluctant window tracks use Dry Glide, teflon spray from I think CRC. Do you have a thermostat?? Temp going up and down probably means NO. T stat is the most important part of the colling system. This car really needs paint and whatever trim it needs. So nice to look like crap!!

hey Matt , you guys are really making great strides with production of these cars however , watching this video with your man using that " manual chain hoist " kills me ! I sent ya a comment months ago about it , you get your self a electric chain hoist your man will think he died and went to heaven !!! I used them with 1 man installing MACK TRUCK ENGINES , what a breeze !! that repeating loop chain is a pain in the ass , and it's always getting caught on stuff and is slow as molasses in January !!!! I'm sure you can round one up on the " cheap " !! give it some serious thought , you won't regret it !!!!!! keep up the great videos , just remember ( time is money ) !!

you know she's a lot happier since her heart transplant being that she didn't leave you stranded along the side of the road this time. since it only cut out going uphill, mebbe there's an issue with the pick up tube in the fuel tank. i was working on a '70 c10 pick up for a customer that had a similar issue with the in cab tank. it had been off the road for a few years, and come to find out, an inch or two of the pickup tube had rusted and broken off, so when you'd make a sharp turn with under a 1/4 of a tank of gas, the fuel would slosh to the one side and starve the engine for fuel. i guess at one time there was a lot of water in the bottom of the tank, because it was really crusty inside. that was a head scratcher let me tell you.
