Atreus and his crazy giant adventures.

Hey, Mandy! The game sort of actually explains how Atreus got to Ironwood, although it isn't the most straightforward answer. He travels there through the "Utangard" which is sort of like a bridge or a wormhole made up of the first giant Ymir's dreams. Giants can use it to travel to and from Jotunheim at will. At 1:17:17 Angrboda explains that it's all that's left of Ymir after Odin killed him and that only a giant can access it. Edit: Spelling.

46:37 Well now that's a twist! Some of Norse mythology says that's the name of Loki's wife, a Jotunn/Giant like he is! Same also says mother of Fenrir, Hel, and Jormungandr. Soooo given what they did with Baldur, I wonder how or if any of that will play out too. Argh! That is definitely a cliffhanger!

I actually enjoy this section of the game. It's pretty relaxing, honestly and Atreus learns so much about the Giants, more than he'd ever learn with Tyr or his father. I do understand some people finding it going a bit too long and wanting to just get back to playing as Kratos again, but I enjoy variety what can I say, so long as that variety is executed well. Atreus' combat is fine if a little simpler than Kratos. Seeing him die, though, does hit differently because he's the boy, who we wanted to protect at all costs in the last game and, and now he's just laying on the ground dead alone and for from his dad, with no Resurrection stone, Lol

Going to need more lighthearted wolf moments to balance out all the sad ones they keep throwing at us. Great video though!

In the first game Atreus tells Kratos that all giants aren’t giant. In this game he says, “ I thought all Giants were supposed to have giant?” Different writers I guess.
