lol I have had the same experience , with an Iroshizuku magically solving all my pen troubles (hard stops, scratchy, no flow, etc). As it was another color, Momiji, one starts to - happily - suspect it is the quality of ink as such, not so much the color. Curious to see whether others will confirm with yet other colors. Enjoyed the vid :) ETA: your pronunciation of Poussière de Lune is pretty close. Love that ink, gorgeous.

Hello, I loved watching this today. I was looking up reviews on Kon Peki and I really got a buzz out of it. And it explained some of my pen problems so I'm going to try it. Some of my writing experiences are not in the zone I desire. You know what I mean. I want that flourish, line variation, flow, lush, great starts, etc. and I want it in all my pens BUT I want a lot of variety in my ink colours. Did you find out if all the Iroshizuku inks are like the Kon Peki?

I really love Pilot Iroshizuku line-I’ve bought 7 bottles in a span of a few months. They are beautifully crafted inks that happen to also be very gentle with all pens, even vintage (so I’ve been told). I would suggest Shin-kai (a gorgeous shading blue-black with red sheen) and Tsuki-yo (a midnight blue leaning a touch teal-shades wonderfully). As for other ink brands with wet formulas, Twsbi is great. I only own 2 of their inks (Black and Blue-Black) but both are wonderful. The black is very wet with some sheen, and their blue-black is an iron gall that is water-resistant. It’s actually a softer dupe of Shin-kai, so if you like that ink but need something water-resistant, I would suggest that it. Lastly, I always suggest Diamine’s Writer’s Blood; I put it in Japanese extra fine nibs and it takes away all of the feedback.

Writer’s Blood is a favorite of mine. Also Oxblood, while we are mentioning it. Thanks for the awesome suggestions!

I've been using some Diamines's, like Writer's Blood, which I love, or the fantastic blue Majestic Blue, and Aurora Borealis, which looks gorgeous in a blue-green shade with a tiny red shin, and the new in my line from Diamine, Evergreen, also beautiful, but I'm looking for a more pure olive green. From Iroshizuku I've bought Tsuki-yo, which is great as it flows (but no issue with Diamine's) and the beautiful blue-teal color. I'm using the Iroshizuku in a non expensive FP, Scriveiner Fine nib, which is almost perfect, but I want to try it with an M nib, and I want to go to other colors from the Pilot ink brand, yes. Thank you (pity you, Hemingway Jones, don't show the ink in a paper)

Is Kon-Peki the secret weapon, or Iroshizuku ink generally? I use Iroshizuku Asa-Gao, which is a slightly darker blue than Kon-Peki. It is also a very wet ink that flows well. My point is you might find an eggplant or purplish Iroshizuku ink and have the same luck with your Conway Stewart.

If you like the J Herbin PDL, do try 'Purple Reign' by Monteverde.. Also, Tsutsuji by Pilot Iroshizuku is another fantastic ink. Both, colour wise and lubrication. Just in case you'd like to try this; add 3 - 4 drops of water into your pen's converter or barrel before you add the inks which give you hard starts etc.. In most cases such as these, lubrication is an issue and water goes a decent distance to solve the hard starts.. Cheers.

I bought a bottle of the Iroshizuku fugu-syogun on a whim (it was on clearance super cheap). I love it. The color is kind of a boring gray but sometimes it fits my mood. And unlike other inks it works perfectly in all my pens. Really nice viscosity. Really nice when I have to put my signature on a pile of documents an inch thick. What it lacks with its melancholy gray it makes up for in its ease of use in every pen I own, even the difficult ones.

Ah, I'm going through my collection, 10 pens at a time, and seeing how close I can get them to writing to my idea of perfection. After doing the basics with tines, nibs, feeds, et al, there are several inks: writers blood, some sailor colors, and three kwz inks that serve the function that kon peki serves for you. It is so satisfying when an ink lets a pen glide on the page and gives you those mysterious colors. Ink, pens, and paper are our world. Perhaps with time, my ideal won't be as wet. Time is an issue I should probably deal with, i.e. with dry time, but that's down the road, ease of writing and reading first. Great video on an important to us topic.

Hi Hemingway, I'm a new subscriber, and I am loving your channel! I will try to help you with your French pronunciation from time to time. Since this one could get you in hot water, I will help. LOL! Poussiere de Lune means Moon Dust. Lune is the French word for Moon. Poussiere is the French word for Dust. The literal translation from French to English is of course, Dust of Moon. I have my own strange way of helping people with their French pronunciation that at least helps most get close enough... So... Pouss as in Pa(poose), Y'air like you were going to say Yes, but instead you put the "Y" at the beginning of the word "Air". The "E" in the word "de" in French sounds like a a very subtly finessed combination of saying "oo" and "uh" at the same time. You will just have to practice tha sound. As for "Lune" which in this case is not a bird, but can be pronounced good enough when pronounced like the name of the bird as "Loon". Thus: Poose Y'air de Loon. Voila Monsieur! Bon soir mon ami, Lisa

Okay, now you have gone and did it, I will not rest until I try this Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-peki ink. Thank you for your video, I like when people are honest with their review and do not play the politically correct game of trying not to insult some brand so much so that in the end I cannot even tell what they like or dislike.

Wish I could let you a voice recording. I like your pronunciation of the french Names ;o) But you did it very well by saying it. I try to write how to speak "pussieer de lün". The "ou" is like u, but the german "u" not the english "ju". Just an "u". Then the "è", with the accent to the back, is pronounced like a double "e", a bit elongated. I apologize for the English on my site ;o) Ah sorry, the single "u" in french ist speaking like an "ü" which you don't have in English, or do you?

I watch your channel and feel we have a number of similar interests. In that light, I know you will enjoy the Wikipedia treatment of Iron Gall Ink used for over 1000 years and by our Founding Fathers. Take a look. Bill

@@HemingwayJonesSorry, I was being a touch arch. The Herbin inks are shimmering inks and best used in TWSBIs and the like. You did well to employ the kon peki Waterman inks are clean & easy to clear out of grumpy pens. Again, apologies for the obscure intro

He might want to do some research before making a damned fool out of himself on the internets. Or maybe not...

I stand by everything in this. I think the fool here is obvious. Go start your own channel. How is this for a name, "The Gate-Keeper Troll?" I think you could get some mileage out of that.
