I had a teacher in high school use "irregardless" all the time and people defended him. Many said that while it was a double negative it was widely accepted as an alternative for regardless. I knew however that using irregardless was incorrect, thanks for making this video to show that irregardless really isn't correct at all.

Adam Eltouny "In American English, spelt primarily refers to the hardy wheat grown mostly in Europe, and the verb spell makes spelled in the past tense and as a past participle. In all other main varieties of English, spelt and spelled both work as the past tense and past participle of spell, at least where spell means to form words letter by letter or (with out) to make clear. Outside the U.S., the two forms are interchangeable in these uses, and both are common." I'm not American so Spelt is correct for me.

Irregardless is technically a word and is in the Webster dictionary (along with most others). It's been considered common usage in North America for nearly 100 years and has been seen in print since the 18th century. It is a double-negative though, and is absolutely cringe-worthy.
