@@MrLAntrim I read somewhere that usually in any language there will be around 4000 most used verbs. If we know them that is enough to speak and understand the language. There is a book from Langenscheidt, which has these 4000 verbs. May you can make a list like this video.

Hallo Herr Antrim, 08:08 Es ist treten - trat - getreten ja? Nicht treten - tritt - getreten.

You have to mention perfect with (ist/hat) I want to learn with Perfect from with (ist/hat)
@MrLAntrim4 жыл бұрын
I say "ist" when a verb generally uses it, but the problem with learning like that is there are exceptions. fahren - Ich BIN nach Hause gefahren. Ich HABE das Auto nach Hause gefahren. It is better to understand the why behind the grammar and not just the what.

is there any count on the number of verbs that take sein as helping verb in case of Partizip 2?

Is treten "tritt" or "trat"? I've seen that people say "trat" a lot, but it should be "tritt"?????
@MrLAntrim8 ай бұрын
Both are correct, but it depends on what the use is. If you are talking about the present, "tritt" is the correct form for the er, sie, es conjugation. If you are talking about the simple past, use "trat". Same verb. Different forms. Different tenses.
@ETV-t5n8 ай бұрын
@@MrLAntrim but, um, on the second 8:08 treten is on the unique verbs list, taking the forms: "treten - tritt - getreten", is this an error then? Or why is "treten" there? I would like to know to be absolutely sure
@MrLAntrim8 ай бұрын
Yes. There is an error in the video. It should say "trat", as this is the simple past form. "tritt" is the present tense er, sie, es form.
@ETV-t5n8 ай бұрын
@@MrLAntrim I see, thank you Herr Antrim, the only reason I even noticed was because of how often I study the whole verb list! seriously thank you for your channel and for every bit of material you put out for free, especially the fact that it is complete and not just a chunk for it to be """digestible""", I love having all the information possible related to a certain topic, you're my favorite teacher. Are these all the irregular verbs, herr Antrim? These are very helpful anyways!!
@MrLAntrim4 жыл бұрын
These are the most common ones, but they are certainly not all of them. I left off verbs that are derived from others and have similar/same participles. I also left off obscure verbs that most learners won't need. It is still quite extensive, however.

Wiegen and Waegen mean same?
@MrLAntrim4 жыл бұрын
Sometimes, yes. Where they differ is in the figurative language. Wägen is used for most figurative uses of "weighing". If you are weighing a decision, for example.
@fremejoker Жыл бұрын
No, they don't. You use "wiegen" if you actually weighing weight. There is no real usage for "wägen", because it is outdated (you'll sound weird then), but "abwägen". Nobody will say "Ich wäge die Entscheidung." but "Ich wäge die Entscheidung ab.
