Love some of these decks! My irreplaceable deck is first edition Healing Earth Tarot by Jyoti McKee. My personal deck. 💖

Loved this video & hashtag, been a while since I have been on Tarot tube but thinking about my irreplaceable decks would be: The Slow Holler Deck, The Slutist Tarot 1st Edition, Dust 2 Onyx Tarot, The Next World tarot (this might be more of a sign of the times we are in & this deck just fits to be fair) Tarot De Aux Arcs & Tarot of The Crone also Cosmic Visions. Oracle wise The Tree Whisper Oracle, the Weavers Oracle, Mysteries of Mary Oracle, The Living Alter oracle, a Druid Ogham Oracle & The Mother Mary Oracle the vast majority of these are indie & hard to get but I ❤️ them & find them irreplaceable because I read them in a way that no typical deck can do for me, that might be because I don’t fit into mainstream society & therefore those usual interpretations don’t really apply to people like me, loved this video gave me plenty to think about, thank you.

I think one of my irreplaceable decks would be the Wise Dog Tarot by MJ Cullinane, funny as the choice may seem. I know that there are other animal and dog decks, but for one, I don’t consider it an animal deck, dog energy is very specific. Also this particular deck has a very particular energy that I haven’t seen in any other dog deck (that there actually aren’t that many, cat decks are more common, I think). I don’t consider it a “hug deck” either… it’s an excellent reader, very incisive without being ruthless… I don’t know, I can’t explain it, but reading with it has been a unique experience both for myself and for others 💙

Two of my irreplaceable decks would be The Voyager Tarot- I modified it and with its complex symbolisim I can't think of another deck like it in my collection. It is a great reader and one I travel with as well. Another is the Animal-Wise Tarot- with the entire deck told from the perspective of the animals themselves is one of the reasons I love it. It is the only deck I have that starts and ends with the animals in the tarot cards. Such an interesting tag, thank-you for sharing.

I absolutely loved this idea. I loved thinking about it and what it meant for me as someone who is relatively new to tarot. I went back and forth as to whether or not I could do this tag and send you the VR, but ultimately, I did it. Thanks so much for the inspiration. I've learned so much from you. :)

Great video! Im still looking for a fae energy type deck that resonates with me. My short list of irreplaceable decks is probably going to sound crazy but there is nothing else like them - the Hayworth Tarot, Super Awesome Future! Fortune Cards, the Mythic Tarot, Tarot of the Holy Spectrum, and the Golden Universal Tarot (it's the only traditional RWS clone I've found that works for me 🤷🏻♀️). ...Even I knew I had to explain the last one. 😂

I love Spirit of Animals also, reads so well as a capstone card in a tarot read for myself or others. I am using Spacious for my daily journaling now! The Witches Wisdom is probably my irreplaceable, it is different with majors renumbered. I spent 3 months writing about each card and can now read with it fluidly. Love the art and the depth of intuitive ability to read it. Just now starting to work with Wildwood in the same way.

Yes, the WItches Wisdom is a good example of a deck that has shifted things enough that you can't just pick up another deck and get the same experience!

What a nice video! Thanks for sharing! I actually don't own a lot of decks but so far I would name two irreplaceable tarot decks that I have. The first one is the "crystal tarot" by Elisabetta Trevisan. I trimmed all the borders out, leaving no names, no numerals, no nothing but the beautiful illustrations (including beautiful "pip" minors). For me somehow, this alteration made that deck transcend the tarot state. It feels so magical, colorful and full of life. It's like it is speaking a language that I understand. The cards side by side looks like tapestry or murals. And makes me think of ancient comic strips. If that would have been a thing haha. The second deck that I would like to mention is the Primordial tarot by Sergio Toppi. I actually thought of you Kelly when I discovered that deck. It is very "human based" for a lack of better words. Going around the first forms of shamanism, cults, rites, hunting, tribes, spirituality...Or at least as it took shape in the imagination of the creator. It is often described as raw or violent. But I personnaly never had better emotional experiences with a deck like I did with this one. It speacks to the heart, the body (which I found quite rare for a deck) and the spirit. It has its own system, very coherent and approachable. And the Art of Sergio Toppi (made for the deck specifically) takes it to a whole other level. The aesthetic is quite masculine (strong lines, angles, hatching...) but in a measured way. Which I find is quite refreshing in that field nowadays. So that would be two of my decks that I would define as irreplaceable : ).

Would you have any tips for me to be able to connect with my wildwood tarot? I love the cards and the artwork but it just gives me very confusing readings...I wish I could connect with it in a better manner!
@Talesandtexts2 жыл бұрын
@@allyboo7771 I would suggest starting out reading it as an oracle deck. Let the cards inspire whatever feelings and insights that you receive. Don't force yourself to try to find the tarot meanings in them. As you work with the deck like an oracle, you'll start to see patterns over time. Then from a macro perspective, you can find out how the tarot meaning fits into that card. That's what I did. And I love the guidebook too. So definitely read the guidebook too.

It's funny because I don't necessarily have an irreplaceable DECK, but rather a system, haha. I love reading with the Minchiate system. I can very much read with any standard tarot deck, but I love the clear messages that I get when I read with Minchiate, to the point that it's become my preferred way to read. The Il Meneghello Minchiate Etruria was my first ever Minchiate deck, so that holds a special place in my heart, but since modern Minchiate renditions are few and far between, I love any version that I get into my collection, haha.
@TheTruthinStory2 жыл бұрын
That makes sense to me! I think for me if I was picking an irreplaceable system it would probably be a standard playing card deck, ALTHOUGH the cheater in me says take Tarot and just strip out the majors when I want playing cards :D

FYI...The Glowwood has been available on Amazon for some time now. It is still one that I highly consider adding to my collection. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet. At the moment, my irreplaceable decks are the Yggdrasil Norse Divination Cards and The Star Tarot. Nothing in my opinion comes close to the Norse Divination Cards. They are a must have for me. Like you, Kelly, a tarot deck is a tarot deck with the exception of The Star Tarot. It is the only tarot deck I own where the image plays an important role along with numerology and the general energy of the card. I haven't used it yet, but I think Odin's Playbook will become an irreplaceable deck for me as well. One of my favorite cards in Odin's Playbook is the Web of Wyrd a.k.a. Wheel of Fortune. Also, the Goddess Hell gets her due in the major arcana.

Anyone work with the OSHA Zen? I just don’t feel any connection with it yet.
@allyboo77712 жыл бұрын
Hello Janet! Hope you are doing well! Osho Zen is a very curious tarot deck. I remember the first reading I did with it...a detailed Celtic cross. It made me cry. Working with it ever since made me realise it departs considerably from the usual RWS style. I feel the RWS system is very interconnected. You can see yourself in a myriad of situations with lots of different people. It is in that sense quite interactive. However, the Osho Zen is all about me. It is about what I do, and how I choose to act. It is a very meditative, self-centred deck for me which I use exclusively for my understanding of self... I would suggest you do 1-3 card pulls in the beginning and read the guidebook. The guidebook is an absolute gem. See, if that makes any sense to you. I would not suggest going by the RWS system to understand the Osho Zen. Allow the guidebook meanings and the word prompts in the card to give you intuitive hits. This is a deck which I have used for a lot of self-work and healing and letting go and accepting what is as it is. For me, it is less about the art work and more about the word prompt on the card as well as the detailed guidebook meaning! I hope that helps! Also, asking questions about yourself and then picking one card and seeing how that feels would be a good starting point! This may or may not work for you but I hope you develop a loving connection with your Osho Zen like I did with mine! Lots of love! Take care!

@@allyboo7771 thanks for the encouragement! I will study and read with the OSHA Zen. I do read intuitively, even though my base knowledge is the RWS. Have a marvelous day.
