The body needs to burn energy that we get from food if we do not exercise food ferments in our stomach and digestive system because it isn't being used as a fuel source therefore it is laziness that is a major source of IBS. And that goes for you Thomas.

I have IBS and candida, horrible combination. Vegetarian diet and reducing intake of sugar & white bread helps a lot.

Suffering since 2 months.. recovering day by day... Last 3 days completely normal... What I followed is.. 1. Elimination gluten and Sugar 2. Gentle Yoga 3. Pranayam 4. 35 mins walk... Day by day I feel I am improving a little bit.. Dear IBS community, have you ever observed if we are in hurry or if we are supposed to complete any target in time may it be simple cooking or any simple task in time... Due to even simple worry our stomach contracts. And doesn't feel like relax stomach... We have to observe this very carefully,....I think this is the reason.. it starts feeling abnormal,.. For that meditation, stressfree no time bound commitment, slow and peaceful working style.. rhythmic pattern of breathing is very necessary to keep brain gut in sync.. I had this IBS 3 YEARS BACK resolved in 2 months then again 1 year back... Again resolved in 1 month and now since last 2 months... Resolving slowly .. since last 3 days....❤

what we see is a pattern of bad dietary choices being passed on ...my advice is to break that cycle and start fresh with foods that were intended for human species and in as little as 1 month your IBS is gone

I did and I see improvement. In my case, stress and cheese addiction gave me IBS. I used to be bloated and in pain everyday for many years. After 2 years without any animal products my IBS attacks happen maybe 4 times a year.

@@przytulanka1979 I totally want to change my diet, but I am a picky eater! I rarely eat meat only in burgers or regular sausage. I noticed my first year of grad school I was always bloated.

i did, it made it worse because if the the high fiber and high sugars in many fruits and veggies. there's an IBS diet called low FOD-MAP that consists of foods that are low in gas-producing sugars. Also, i take Regular Girl prebiotic+probiotic that really help, as well as a gut anti-spasmodic Rx called Dicyclomine. I suggest seeing a Dr. and explaining symptoms and request a referral for a Dietician and possibly a Gastroenterologist. 🤞

Informative, but don't assume anything. You should see a GI specialist if you have chronic symptoms. There are serious or life threatening conditions that can also cause these symptoms. See a doctor to be sure.
