IRT 7th Avenue Line: Redbird 2 Train trip to East 241st Street (8/11/2001)

Redbird R33 2 train ride (lead car 8996) from Flatbush Avenue to East 241st Street via 7th Avenue Express on August 11, 2001. Due to the 90-minute VHS-C tape constraint, some conductor announcements were skipped so that I could finish the trip without using up the tape.

My second brother just turned 20. Next month on Sept 11,my father was going to be 41, that day literally change everything. My heart goes out to the victims of that tragic day. Thank you for the upload video. I remember theses trains and rode on them. In 2002 my first SYEP going back to Brooklyn from the Bx Zoo. I remember that I was blessed to rode on both the redbird 2/5 trains before they retired. The IRT lines are not the same without the redbirds I dearly missed these trains

Nope. At that time, all the R62As on the 6 were converted to full-width cabs. Even if some of the R62A cabs on the 1 were not converted, I was not comfortable videotaping because the train operator could easily see the passenger(s) on the railfan window from the cab door window. That was why I did not videotape from the R62As.
