The MTA made the huge mistake of following street turns as now they have this 90 degree tight turn with could have been avoided.

Fun Fact: The MTA didn't exist when the subway system(s) were built. The Original owners of the subway systems were: IRT (1-7 lines) IND (A-G lines) and BMT/BRT (J-Z lines). So the people who build the curves at every street were IRT (Interborough Rapit Transit - Now Defunct) So lemme just retype your comment: "The IRT made a huge mistake following street turns as now they have this 90 degree tight turn which could have been avoided." What a loud, noisy station. You would think that with today’s technology they would figure out a way to reduce it. The subway drove me out of NYC as it gave me PTSD. Thankfully I now live in quiet Montana.
