I lived in Irvine and Newport beach between 2007 and 2010. I had best moment of my life when i was there. I was so excited before i got on the plane. I flew to New York and after that LAX. A Korean man pick me up at the airport. He was Korean priest. He took me my English school, which was AOL ENGLISH SCHOOL,located in UCI Campus. I was like i was in a dream. I lived in a wonderful house in Woodbridge community. 84 SPANISH LANE.IRVİNE. I worked for Tuscany Grill Italian Restaurant in Irvine. I also lived with Asian Americans.They were pretty cool people. I found them on facebook after 6 years. I moved to Newport Beach when my GF came to America. She's my wife now. I am in Irvine in my dreams. I go to the LAX and ask my friends to pick me up. I see the lake in Lyon street where 2 dollar cinema is there. I miss you Irvine and Newport Beach so much. There're only 2 wishes in this life i want. Living with my family happy and visiting California one more time

I have lived in Irvine for 13 years, and I have a real love/hate relationship with this city. I hate that everything has to be so beige, it’s very hard to meet regular people without everything revolving around status and materialism, and there’s no creative vibe to this city. The predictability and dull environment sort of makes it feel like the years just fly by extra fast. But I do appreciate how everything’s consistently clean and well-maintained, the urban planning is well thought-out despite its soul-crushing beigeness, there’s a good balance of green space and the air isn’t smoggy (for SoCal standards). Tons of good choices for restaurants/grocery stores/shopping. People are generally pretty chill and respectful in Irvine, it’s becoming more and more diverse and progressive, the university gives it _some_ youthfulness, and it’s close to the beaches. But to be honest my favorite part about Irvine is that it’s the only city I’ve lived in where I have never dealt with racist encounters, which is saying something. So it’s pretty hard for me to move.

Irvine is definitely not the most exciting city, but some who live here prefer it that way. I'm still amazed at how bland this episode was compared to Peter's tour of Israel (a must see) with one of THE MOST interesting and powerful leaders in history. Seriously Peter, how did you get to know Bibi so well?

Phøenix FøxTail I recommend Irvine. Safest city in America, by bad community people mean nobody knows each other. There's lots of housing and stuff so the community is always expanding. Biggest thing for me is location though. Safest city, 15 mins from Disneyland, hour from snowy mountains, 15 mins from beach, LA is 55 minute driving distance, and so much more. I love this city because it's quiet, everyone I've met is relatively nice, there's fun shopping centers and malls everywhere, fun restaurants, fast food locations, movie theaters, all within driving distance of 10 minutes. It's such a great time here. However in my opinion the schools are not as great as they should be for the surrounding area, they do just fine. I would recommend moving to Irvine if you need to and it's not out of your way, but hey, that's just me.

I live here as well and she's most definitely right. People are oftentimes materialistic and unfriendly, and there's legitimately nothing interesting to do. No culture or character to the city.
@user-if9oh6zt1j4 жыл бұрын
Dude. It's a suburb. We all just want a safe place to lay our head at night. If I want "soul" or excitement I'll go visit l.a.
@saynotop2w4 жыл бұрын
It looks like a suburb, has the same issues of metropolitan. 10 million dollar house pricings are the norm and most people must live on rental. Road is so clogged that it takes 2 hours to go from the airport to Great Park, a 7 mile trip, during rush hour. I honestly don't get why more and more people move in hete every year.

None of those restaurants and bakery are any good lol You must have been sponsored by them If you want good food, go to the Old Town Tustin on El Camino Real or the OC Fair grounds area in Costa Mesa. The trails are neat enough from what they could work with, but remember that OC houses almost 4 million people and you will hear cars drive by on the highway.

I live here ... for 4 yrs now... If I could leave tomorrow , I would . If I wanted to live in Korea , Id move there... The city population is made up of foreigners ... mostly from Korea, and the older ones can't even speak English, lived here 30 + yrs , live in the HUD housing , and are not citizens of our country.. To me this is disgusting. The most boring place I've ever lived. I like living in America, speak English if you are gonna move here and call it home.for 30 yrs. Don't come here and leach off our tax paying A,American people.
