Irwin 6 in 1 Nut Driver - Fail

I got this because i work with both SAE and Metric sometimes right next to eachother and have encountered several situations where i wish i just had a driver of the right size on me without carying a whole toolbox. I got the klein SAE set and its perfect works great for what I need it for but no one made a Metric set except for this one Irwin I could find online so I ordered it. It gets here and as the other person experienced the large nut is stuck right out of the gate no amount of pounding will release it. I love the interchangable Klein tools i have 3 of their interchangable screwdrivers one large one stubby and a cabinet screwdriver and now the interchangable SAE I just wish they would make a good metric one so I wouldnt have had to take a chance like this and ended up with a broken out of the gate tool.

i got mine by sticking the shaft back in and twisted it and it came right out

Dude you get what you paid for… dang the smart thing to do is put the big socket on first lol you sound like you was looking for something to fit in a purse lol I have had that tool for years and I’ve used it on cars and had no trouble out of it

Nah, it's a bad lot. I have both the SAE and Metric and only one does it. There is no way to use it without it getting stuck unless you want to have it sitting loose. Kline , southwire, and Lenox have designs to prevent this.

Just opened the packaging and the nut is already stuck in the handle. Have been trying to get it out for the last half hour. What a piece of garbage. Update: I figured since it’s going on the garbage otherwise I might as well try smashing the hell out of it with a hammer. That did the trick. On the upside it sure is a sturdy little sucker.
