5% of zombies that spawn have the ability to pick up stuff. Be it swords, armor, other items. Have you ever tried to kill a... Thorns 3 Protection 4 Unbreaking 3 Netherite Armored Zombie with a Sharpness 5, and Fire Aspect 2, Knockback 2 Netherite Sword... It's not fun. Not the hardest fight in Minecraft I've done, but it's still not fun. Now imagine you play a RPG custom Map with custom Bosses, and you have a Zombie with 200 Hearts, 80% damage reduction due to attribute manipulation, When not even an attack which would deal 50 hearts of damage deals more than 10... Even an attack that would deal 112 hearts would only do 20% damage, sure it's still a lot of damage, but an attack would have to do more than 112 hearts of damage before the damage reduction would start to worsen. And at worst it would still have 76% damage reduction. Now that was just it's defensive capabilities... Due to the Zombie Reinforcement mechanic, regular zombies spawned in the Arena whenever you hit the boss. And with command block bullshit, whenever a Zombie died, a lingering potion effect would form, that caused hunger, and using even more command block bullshit those lingering potion effects would increase in strength if they began to overlap too much, suddenly you'd be in the arena, it filled to the brim with a single lingering effect at the center of the arena with Hunger 10. Do you even remotely understand how much I hate hunger 10... every 4 seconds you lose 1 saturation. Every 20 seconds is 5 saturation, plus you moving around regenerating health, attacking, all of that causes your hunger to deplete so fast, if you don't eat every 20 seconds or so, your hunger is gonna hit rock bottom fast, meaning you'll die fast, due to hunger being able to kill you on hard, this means a lot of food is necessary to stay alive, and I really mean A LOT. Sometimes I hate myself for making dumb near impossible challenges. Fun fact the dumbest challenge I made was due to a mod, the Origins mod which allows you to play as different races. Now, imagine, you can't eat food, wield any armor, or craft any items, you cannot even punch blocks, and you have to survive in Minecraft, sure you could break and place chests, and you could trade with villagers, but you cannot farm anything, so trading is ridiculously hard. Having to use creeper explosions to get blocks, the only way to get buckets is through wandering traders selling fish buckets. It's a pain. Minecraft Java Edition: How to make your game so much harder and challenging... Sure Bedrock have stronger Wither boss... but if I wanted to, I could have Withers be near damage immune and with their natural regeneration, 1 heart/2s and instant 2.5 hearts when they kill something. Yeah, when you need to deal 10 damage per hit to even have a chance to kill it, it's bloody hard. And I could make it so that they only take 4% of the total damage dealt... Now that's evil. That's by setting Defense to 30 and Toughness to 20 and to give it Resistance 4. Now the strongest attack in the game a player can do without cheating is 36.5 damage. That's 18.25 hearts. and if you manage to do that, then you'd still have to get every hit every half second in to kill it. Java is so much better than Bedrock just because it can be a lot more challenging and fun than Bedrock ever could be.
