id love to see! the only 5 stars i pick consistently are scene, texas, flint and platinum, so itd be really fun to see a diverse squad. im also really digging the commentary format, means i can let it run in the bg while multitasking and absorbing your huge brain explanations

@@bearful I can recommend Lappland too, especially for any stage with exploding slugs. She trivializes the one-lane map, and otherwise just is good DPS + ranged attack against drones.

I really love how you treat all collectibles as tools, from HP to ingots to operators to enemy leaks. It's opened my eyes to how I've been approaching the game mode (like regular AK) vs how I SHOULD approach it (like a proper rogue-like; everything is expendable when the time comes). On one hand, the mode does have RNG and RNG being RNG, it will completely screw you over once in a while. On the other hand, many (some?) players don't appreciate how much you can do to either deal with bad RNG or swing RNG in your favour, let alone recognising when RNG is favouring you and capitalising on it. Watching you call out beforehand exactly what enemies will spawn and which you will leak, and pre-planning entire stages really drives this point home (oh my god there's so much stuff I don’t know and am not doing). Funnily enough, at the end of the day, this is all working as intended, RNG gives weaker players something to blame when things don’t work out, something for stronger players to overcome and variety for players of all skill levels. I am very much looking forward to your 5-star IS run!

I only got 3 + 5 aspd for 5 ingot, but have you try 1000 dmg when frost bind etc, i got the version with 1000+600 and even got 5 aspd ingot buff, with my support line up+ specialist with bind skill, got really satisfying run lol

5*s are far from bad in IS2, you can definitely clear the content using just 5*s. There are a lot of great 5*s that people love to ignore for whatever reason. People that say they're bad in IS2 either haven't actually tried them, or - more likely - don't find them worth the cost over a 4* or saving for a 6*, which is kinda fair too. Anyway incredible run, it's always funny to see aspd stacking nonsense.

I understand the feeling when they were 4, but at 3 they're pretty underappreciated for sure. I guess its one of those "caught in the middle" scenarios where the challenge people roll with their 4s, and the people who just want a consistent or easy win just roll out their max level 6 stars.

I have actually been doing 5 star runs only and got to the 3rd boss on hard and almost beat it... so ill keep trying, most dmg comes from the ST range cause 5 start do have very strong ones

varies a bit depending on what u have but basically spawn camp everything block normal lancers at the top so they cant charge and spawn kill the red ones with ranged ops on the right

What was your handicap item? Missed it because the run already started at the beginning. I failed a lot and I wondered why, but then I had a lightbulb moment, I play on intuition which is based on experience but this mode totally screws with that as strength of operators and enemies varies massively depending on items and other modifiers. Definitely no mode for me. The normal game does a really good job keeping enemies that look alike always at the same powerlevel and if the powerlevel changes there is usually model variation that comes with that. The only exception to that are challenge modes (only small 10% increase) and CC (where you choose yourself what changes, so you have a connection and know what will happen).

Videos like this make me sad. You're so much of a gigachad that you didn't need 2 of the 3 starting units to beat the monthly challenge, meanwhile I've yet to beat the normal game outside of the green difficulty. I guess one thing this run showed me though is that I don't need to rely too much on a starter 6* because ... well ... you only used vigna. I might raise a couple more 4* stars to raise my potential pool of operators to pick from. Also might opt into using the life squad because this seems like a lot of potential to just "leak phantom" for a clear just in case. Sad Lock's probably a pipe dream for me though XD
