I’m happy this guy is actually giving his wisdom and experience from all his years, it’s not something I see often on KZbin. No one just gives advice for free, there’s always a course or some up sell, no one wants to help their fellow man, but just monetize people that want to learn. So I just wanted to show some appreciation and support for this video and for your solid advice 👍

Thanks, I hope you subscribed to my channel, but yes I've decided I want to give this information out freely because I think that there is a lot of misinformation out there about being a contractor for FedEx. I'm retired, I don't have any skin in the game and I don't desire to be a consultant to any one individual. I do enjoy my youtube channel and yes there are a lot of wolves out there who want nothing more than to sell you on their program and let you think that you must go through them to be sucessful. Again I'm Mike and I hope you enjoy me explaining my 34 years of experience with FedEx.

Thank you Mr. Mike, I've been thinking about doing this for a while and I'm definitely considering buying a new route that was just split in two from a larger route. I was speaking with a broker about another business and it didn't sound right for what I was looking for and then he asked me if I knew anything about Fedex...and here we are! I'm excited, nervous and a bit apprehensive but I'm trusting in God and not my own understanding here.. so wish me luck!

Hello, great videos thanks! I am thinking about getting into FedEx myself in 2021. You specialized in linehaul. From what I can tell (and correct me if I'm wrong) FedEx only pays around $1.95 per mile right now to their contractors. This pales in comparison to the $2.50-$6.00+ independents are getting currently. How do you compete for drivers now?
@MichaelJones1527
@MichaelJones1527 3 жыл бұрын
You are not taking in to consideration the drop and hook pay plus no deadheading with FedEx. You get payed for all your miles including empty miles. Do the math with the others and factor that in and you will see that the miles are more than comparable. Plus their fuel program and insurance are the best that you can get. I've done both. I use to pull for Amazon also and with having to have my own authority and the insurance rates were 4 times as much if you bought it independently. I insured a fleet of 40 trucks as cheap if not cheaper than I insured 10 at Amazon. My opinion and experience but you can do your own research to debunk it, if you like. 34 years with FedEx and it was the best opportunity for me.
