Nope. It's not a good time. Inward facing cameras and low freight. I'm going flatbed

Prime is going out of business. 1,000 mile deadhead for 650 mile load? So you wanna be a lease driver? 😂😂😂😂
@Ball.Daily113 ай бұрын
They got some other full paying the maintenance and truck payment. Why would they go outta business? And 78 percent of the trucks a prime are currently leased. Prime doing well while there drivers take home 300 a week and lose everything
@inspireu97463 ай бұрын
Prime will never go out of business. They’re not a freight company. They’re a leasing company. The little perks they give you keeps drivers there leasing until they realize it’s way better companies out there even in this market.

They won't go out of business because they've got all these drivers paying $1500 a week for a lease.

I heard you can no longer pull people from Company side of Prime anymore for your fleet. You have to either pull from someone who is on a fleet with someone currently, coming to Prime now, or fresh off of TNT. Kearsey said those were the changes recently. 🤷♂️. Don't know if true

There was a time I would’ve had a mini fleet with prime but I’ve since learned to be weary of investing in trucks specifically to haul general freight as it’s something anybody and their grandma can do. I rather have a business in a specialized area that very few people want to do such as lpg and asphalt hot oil hauling. The fact that most aren’t interested in having a bomb on their back tell me that’s where I need to be focusing.

I have a LP truck that is stuck on the other side of the border due to a mirror plant burning down. Posible 2 month delay. Not to mention SL didn't place my order with FL when I sumitted my order back at the end of November. I didn't find out that info until I turned in my completed lease the middle of February. What was the first 2 month delay. Now I hope I'll get it sometime in July. Your small fleet info is very helpful. Thanks for what you do!

As a wannabe trucker i find it amazing how the cost of everything went up 30% or more, but cost of freight is flat or down? Something sounds suspect there.
@bightrucking72463 ай бұрын
Totally disagree with your opinion! If you have the means to expand do so in a down market! Buy low sell high! Prices will only increase and this market will turn around!

Doing simple lease and training, how about LP one truck
@DriverLineup3 ай бұрын
Honestly if I was training and one truck I would stay standard lease. You’re going to beat that truck up in ways you wouldn’t solo. And a LOT more miles. In order for an LP to work you need to have as few miles as possible on it when it’s paid off. As a trainer you can run the shit out of a standard lease truck and still get a good chunk back at end of lease. Then move to a brand new truck and continue training!

I hate to be that guy who tries to correct you about the difference between buying with a bank vs lease purchase through a carrier like prime, bc I like your channel and insight, so understand I mean no disrespect, but the two aren’t the same. The biggest distinguishable difference is you can walk away, it won’t affect your credit, you won’t have to file bankruptcy, the risk is greatly diminished compared to getting a bank loan, or as I did directly through Peterbilt, which uses ally bank. Aside from that, idk if you can take your truck anywhere or only prime approved repair shops or if you can even work on the truck yourself. I do a lot of my own work to save money anymore. But, again, not meaning to sound disrespectful. Hope you stay safe!
@DriverLineup2 ай бұрын
I’m not at all sure how you’re correcting or disputing anything I’ve said. I fully agree with you. On repairs, if you want to pay out of pocket you can choose where to get work done. Vast majority is warranty work though.
@survivetothrive212 ай бұрын
@@DriverLineupthat’s good on the repairs aspect, and otherwise I don’t disagree with what you’re saying. You’re operating your truck and paying on and for the truck like me, but the biggest difference that I’m pointing out because you mentioned it earlier in the video is you have a walk away agreement. We don’t have those agreements when going through a bank. And that’s a BIG deal. We walk away, that means bankruptcy. You walk away, other than maybe some hurt pride, there’s no long lasting financial repercussions. To me, that’s a major discernible difference. Again, not trying to super trucker it up on your feed, I have my own channel and LOATHE when that happens lol. Trust me. But you mention the walk away lease, then a few minutes later say there’s no difference between getting a loan through a bank or paying through the carrier in a lease purchase. Thats my dispute. Everything else I agree with.
