Enjoyed the video, but don’t appreciate the clickbait title. You traded in two lenses and the remaining difference was $49, that’s not a total cost of $49, huge difference
@CineDailies4 ай бұрын
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and that's what I hoped for but , whether I paid $764 or $49 - the point is I traded in gear that had no value to me. If that upsets you, its not my problem ha. But again thanks for watching.

The ol switch and bait move. The original ol' reliable 😂😂😂 He got you there mate, though let's be realistic A red branded cine prime would never cost 40thish dollars so........ Honestly I ignore the titles lately and the thumbnail sparks something in my primitive brain that makes me click click...

Agreed. If I trade in my mirrorless for a different camera it’s so I can purchase it for less. So yes he paid $49 for it.

I've used MPB for nearly 8 years now. It has been my go-to for used gear, buying and selling. But recently I have had really terrible experiences. I bought a drone that was listed as "like new" and when it showed up it was permanently labelled as a "display demo" from a store. Not only this, but the gimbal was broken and the horizon line was unfixable. MPB only has a 14 day return period of which I missed and they told me there was nothing they could do. They do have great gear at great prices, but be smart out there.

So these lenses (the Red Pro Prime series of lenses) were deeply influenced and in some cases direct conversions of Tamron lenses of the time. The coatings, focal lengths, and most of the focus and zoom functions were from Tamron's manufacturing standards. I think it would be super interesting to see a side by side comparison of your cinema lens to a comparable tamron lens. Great video, as always.
@CineDailies4 ай бұрын
Current! This is rehoused tamron. All of the other primes are designed from the ground up. I know Michael, the optic designer. Tamron does make good glass! It would be cool to do a side by side

@@CineDailies If I didn't watch the video, how would I know about the trade in? The trade in isn't listed in your Clickbait Title. Like come on, you know exactly what you are doing with that Title and Thumbnail. If it was titled truthfully like "I traded in 2 Lenses for 1 Lens I want and only paid $49 difference!" We wouldn't have had a problem but then you might not have suckered people into clicking the video thinking you got a Cine Lens for only $49. When will these KZbinrs just be honest about their intentions? We the audience can see right through it.
