I use V2, the free version of X. It made my trash aim a lot better very quickly, and helped to fix myediting crosshair placement

Another thing you missed. The build crosshair changes to another type of crosshair when someone else is trying to edit their builds. Handy for detecting playing in cones.

i use v2, i use the pink cross on the second size and I believe my shotgun aim is wayyy better than before because the shotgun has a big crosshair, but now i cant rely on that and the small crosshair makes me hit so many max pumps

I used to use a custom crosshair and I would say it definitely felt like I had better crosshair placement when building/editing. The reason why I turned it off was bc of the auto shotguns bc for some reason I felt as if my aim was worse with the smaller crosshair and I would miss more shots. I did feel like I hit max damage shots more often so I might have to give the custom crosshair another try now the that auto shotgun is out of the game. Also changing the crosshair depending on what gun I have out of if I’m ADSing is a very interesting thing that I might have to play around with

the answer is yes, its becuase the default fortnite crosshair is off centered. so thats why your marker is on the player, but it doesnt hit them.

It's a slippery slope brother 😂 I wish you luck. Although overlaying a custom over the default red/white build icon is also really distracting since you can't just remove one piece of the default crosshairs, you have to remove it for every gun, building, editing, pickaxe, etc

in my opinion, cross crosshairs are better for shotguns because regardless of the spread, youre still going to be aiming at hte enemy, all it will do is, in time, make your shotgun flicks better

i personally use crosshair x. if you know the weapons and how the game works most of these cons are minimal. the only thing I see nobody talking about and is actually the worst part is that movement items like the grappler are basically useless without the reticle. like I have no clue if I'm too far to shoot it or if I'm close enough

also when using guns without a scope you can't see the bloom and makes it harder to get first shot accuracy, and in box fights or zonewars unless youre playing a map with the new guns then you wont have a scope

It's not going to be easy but it's possible. First I'd recommend seeing if the playstation store has any sort of overlay you can add to your screen, but if not, there are ways to add it straight to your monitor or tv. It may require messing with your monitor settings or adding some sus software, but I've definitely seen it done before

No you can not have default crosshairs on anything if you turn them off. Although you can program hotkeys for your shotgun button and make those hotkeyed crosshairs look as similar as you can make it in crosshair x

Great comment. You can actually make the custom crosshair move when shooting to spread apart. I don't do this though because it's less of a mental overload to focus on a still crosshair. Because whether it moves or not, the best place to aim is still the center, so there's no reason to make it move other than preference.

You can do it on console. It's a little tricky since you need to add the overlay straight to your monitor instead of the system, but I've seen it

the downside is if you don't have a first person sight on the gun so then you have to deal with bloom so custom crosshairs are not worth it unless you hack the game and make it give you a first person sight every time you get a smg, or ar so thats why fortnite crosshairs are good and there is shotgun spread so custom crosshairs cant give you the exact location where the pellets are going so go back to the normal crosshair buddy and the pros deal with custom crosshairs and they are good at building so why not you just deal with
