I had a metatarsal osteotomy in 2015 then a stress fracture in April 2021 that put me in a walking boot for 8 weeks- about a month ago I got capsitilis (again) and was just in a walking boot for 3 weeks. One day back into tennis shoes due to pain in the lower back as a result from wearing the surgical boot. Mri on Friday- is it too early to gently ride the recumbent at bike? I don’t want to aggravate the healing capsule- most likely Morton’s neuroma and metatarsalgia. Appreciate your advice! Getting lots of mixed reviews here in Portland OR and ready to get back to a pain free active life! Thanks again. Tiffany

Hi Tiffany...I personally don't put my patients with capsulitis in a walking boot. Glad to hear you're out of it now. To answer your question, I don't think it's too soon for a recumbent bike. I'd stay away from more weightbearing activities until it's feeling better, however.
