Good explanation. I have had a simultaneous bilateral unicondylar knee arthroplasty (double partial) done exactly 1 week ago. With caution I now walk without crutches as well as stairs. Did some kneeling at the PT on soft ground as well as some cycling!!! My advice:search for a doctor open for non surgical and surgical treatment as well is skilled to perform partials and fulls. This way the feedback is less biased. 2nd opinion probably worthwhile too. I picked a hospital that does 1000 partials a year (2000 partials and fulls) They do about 5 simultaneous partials per week. That experience was worth a couple of hours drive for me. Last point to be mentioned: If you pick a top surgeon, the revision rate for the partial should be comparable to a TKA. Now I will head for an exercise walk to strengthen the muscles and improve ROM. Cheers from Germany

I had a partial Feb 9 of this year. My surgeon said that some doctors won't do partials. I had 3 opinions before I decided on my surgeon. One surgeon wanted to do a full knee replacement which I was told I didn't need. I just finished my PT last week but I still have to exercise daily. My other knee started giving me problems after surgery. I realized that I was putting the majority of my weight on that side. Now I think and distribute my weight evenly on both legs.

I did have my meniscus trimmed ‘91 and croisette ligament repair. Since last summer I Can’t bend my knee after pseudogout (30 degree bend)….With that I had hamstring pain and meniscus medically)pain…. Pain is now gone quads look tight… was told I need a TKR….. I really just want a partial…. Would your program help me achieve this?

HELL NO my wife got a partial. Had to be redone with all the scar tissue she was taking 400 percocets a month because of pain. Still fucked up
