Depression is correct. The numbers are the indicator. I sure hope more people realize that the "recession" came and went.

Depression? No no, we've already completely collapsed as a nation, economy and society. The working middle class is all that is keeping the skeleton animated. If they ever get tired of keeping the dead thing moving then it all turns to dust.

So what are really the best strategies to make our portfolio recession proof. my wife is already panicking, so many questions! will the rate cut next month lead to inflation? I'm very worried about my $1million stock portfolio losing value. It lost 20 % today alone

True, my portfolio took a massive hit in 2022, and I almost sold everything to switch to cash savings. However, I was advised to consult a financial advisor. Following the guidance of this CFA, my portfolio started increasing by 10% monthly. She had anticipated the crash and rebalanced my portfolio accordingly.

We have been in a recession for 3 years. We are headed for a depression. Back in the 1930s. People had skills like cooking, canning, hunting, carpentry, leather working, sewing, and gardening. What do you think is going to happen to people in 2024. Most people have no idea how to do most of these things.

Someone in a store recently said the government wants us all broke and unemployed. This struck me with a shock. It made me think of the homeless crisis too. The government wanting everyone to be dependent on the government. Then they can definitely control the vote by what benefits they give the people.

What scares me is that they genuinely believe they're doing what's best for the people. They see themselves as the good guys. They don't see themselves as keeping people poor to win votes. They see people being poor as a failure of government to help them - so they constantly sell solutions for votes. When those solutions fail, they blame capitalism, corporations, and classism.

Nick and company, Thank you all for putting this video together. I really thought that I was a very well informed citizen and voter and business person. I’ve thought I’ve been paying attention to everything and delving into things. Boy, was I wrong? I learned more from this video than I’ve learned in the last 15 or 20 years of paying attention and studying. And I really think all of you for everything you put into this. Each one of you made points that were really important. And you really scared the day lights out of me. As a result, I have forwarded this video to everyone I know on both sides of the aisle. I hope that it both informs and wakes them up! Although I have some doubts that it will. Lately I’ve been noticing that a lot of people, even some Christians act like they’re in a satanic induced dream state where they are oblivious of everything around them. As if we can live in a fog and hold hands and sing Kumbaya on Sunday morning and that’ll fix everything. While I 100% agree that God can and will fix everything in his own timing. BUT after 65 years on this planet, I have noticed that even God and the Holy Ghost, can’t or won’t drive a parked car! God uses willing vessels to achieve His purposes in or lives. Unlike in Jonah’s case, if we are not in the right gear, He will move on to find a vehicle that is in gear. That scenario usually ends up with the person that was skipped being like the fellow with two talents. I may be old, sick and impoverished, but I am still trying to stay in gear and ready to move. This video was a major wake up call for me and hopefully for everyone I sent it to. God bless you, your family and your excellent staff. This country needs more of you. Even as a broken down old lady, I would follow you into battle any day. Just don’t hand me an M-16, I prefer an Uzi anytime! 😂 LOL I once took a government sponsored résumé, writing class. The instructor said to make a list of all of our skills. Since I can only type 17 words a minute, no matter how much I try, I put down that I can get a tight grouping with an Uzi. The teacher looked over my shoulder, saw my list, and almost had a heart attack. He was literally shaking. He told me, in no uncertain terms, that that was not a job skill!!! I looked up at him and gave him my sweetest old lady smile, and said, “Well now, that depends upon the job!” He had to go sit down. I assumed that I had failed his class, but I wasn’t really worried about it. Since I wasn’t actually interested in getting a job, I have spent most of my life being an entrepreneur and true form, I just went and created my own job. Those were the good old days. With the current price of ammunition I am out of practice now. Speaking of the current price of gear and ammo. How does a twenty year old kid, working in a nursing home, have enough money to buy all the gear, that Mr. Crooks had both with him and at home??? I wonder if anyone in the FBI has asked that question?

The labor market and production conversation just reminds me more and more of F.A Hayek saying "We need to plan for competition, not against it." The amount of laws a regulations business have against them hurts that competition and makes the labor and job market as a whole just more and more expensive.

I can't help but think of the Covid shutdown, which doesn't get enough blame from either side. The left overlooks the shutdown because they got what they wanted. The right overlooks the shutdown because it happened under Trump and they want to solely blame Biden. A massive "L" for the right. Monopolies are evil, something we constantly hear from the left. But the shutdown created the biggest monopolies I have ever seen in my life - which says a lot. Walmart and Target sold food, so they remained open. Gamestop sold video games, so they were shut down. But Walmart and Target also sold video games so they obtained a huge advantage in the video game market. The left kept spewing nonsense, "The shut downs didn't cause inflation, because corporations made record profits! It's from corporate greed!" 1. Profits were sky high due to inflation being under-calculated. When calculating real inflation, the profits weren't as record breaking as the left claims. Corporations also flaunted record profits to save face with shareholders. 2. Even when we adjust for inflation, record profits were still had... BECAUSE THEY CORNERED THE MARKET! 3. Inflation occurred due to lower supply and higher demand of services limited by the shut downs. Competition was largely anhialated. Since the limited supply was controlled by so few, of course there were record profits. Yet it's "corporate greed" that is blamed.... I just hate how "natural" monopolies are evil and hurt the economy. But government made monopolies have magic real-world plot armor... I remember when government shut downs were just talk, before Covid really hit the US. I said two things would happen. 1. Massive corporations allowed to remain open would see record profits due to competitors being strangled by regulations. 2. We would see massive inflation. Everyone on the left dismissed these predictions. Now, they pretend the cause is greed. Sorry, but the people who predicted incorrectly don't get a god damn say.

Fort worth texas eviction rates have increased by 25% Thats texas, where jobs exist still. Our stock market is completely manipulated by wallstreet firm algorithms computers trading 100,000 shares per millisecond. Phantom stock shares are created to illegally control a stock price as well and all that will need to be paid back at some point. 1 company has had estimated 1000% shares increase created artificially. So 9/10 shares being traded shouldnt be on the market. The stock market must crash, banks cannot be bailed out( all of them are insolvent), real estate must crash. Monopolies gotta be broken up, almost everything is monopolized now. Then bring back a free market.

“Tighten our belts?” Are you joking? On my social security check today, I can literally only afford utilities and my property taxes. I live on 5 entrées per week from Meals On Wheels and otherwise don’t have any food. The result is I’ve lost 100 pounds this year from malnutrition and my clothes are literally falling off of me to the point that tightening my belt doesn’t hold them on. I’m having to use bungee cords to keep my clothes on to go to the doctors office so he can give me medicine that I can’t afford to buy even with Medicare. So don’t talk to me about tightening my belt, I can’t afford a belt anymore. Yet I see that the Ukrainian government can afford multi million dollar mansions and yachts. We aren't taught how the economy really works. Kids are taught by our government that you can spend your way to prosperity. Kids for the last 40 years saw Mom and dads nice house, a paid off car and a paid off boat. What they do not remember was when they were little mom and they had pitching pennies and feeding them spaghetti 6 nights a week to make In's meat and get all of the bills paid off Early. Then come along with teens and those kids see mom and they have all the fun stuff and didn't know no work that was behind it. Then they went to college and learned about car loans, and credit cards and buying on installments. And now 2 generations have found themselves up to their ears in debt.

She chose Walz because she felt that there was a lesser chance of losing Minnesota since Trump chose Vance than Pennsylvania. The rust belt states were more closely aligned with Vance, and he has a much stronger following in those states than in Minnesota. Minnesota was always a toss-away state in the eyes of the Trump camp, as it rarely went red. Trump would love to win it, and he was making gains there recently. Pennsylvania was never going to be possible for Harris after Vance joined the ticket. This all may be a moot point, as she will lose it all in any case. She will gain a small bump in the polls during and directly after the DNC, but too much time will pass until November 5, and time is Harris' enemy when it comes to public perception. She has no real positive record to fall back on and can only rely upon attack ads and misleading voters to sway their opinions. Blacks and Hispanics have been abandoning Harris (Biden) for months now. Trump's team will start hammering Harris on her false claims of being Black (she has never been Black, but East Indian by culture!) and a moderate. She's the most Leftist politician to run for president in modern history. Only moderates from either side can win. She won't be able to withstand the onslaught. The truth is her enemy. She is nowhere as strong a candidate as even Hilary Clinton was, so her being a women won't help her. It really didn't matter who she chose. She's cooked. Trump will win this with over 320 electoral votes.

If we abolished the IRS, abolished income tax, death tax, corporate tax, etc. and just tariffed at like 10 or 15%. There would be a net INCREASE in household wealth by 30-40% and overnight there would be no recession. The tariffs can and would be able to fund the military and state department alone - without help. Everything else the government does is functionally useless and unconstitutional.

The key is to abolish the income/direct taxation powers of the fed government. Moving from fiat to something else will come with time. Immediate policy should focus on removal of the ability to tax, abolish most regulation, and focus on legal consequences for destruction of property and people. Those laws already exist. Regulations are to prevent competition not protection.

Realistically, the inflation was coming with or without that check. The way government was throwing money around it was unavoidable. $600 per week to those who government forbade from work. More in fraudulent ppp loans. All the money going to COVID vaccine research while allowing the pharma companies to keep the profits. Bank bailouts. That money was being spent whether you and I got a small fraction of it or not.

The currency you hold only loses value because people are printing money. Old coins and notes are worth more than their face value because of how much was used up, worn out and destroyed.

The currency we hold has 0 value. It only has the illusion of value because its based on trust. Its backed by treasury bonds that are literally backed by nothing but trust. It will come down and soon and what will occur is a global famine with currency collapses everywhere. People really do not understand what is coming. Personally I hope I die before it happens.

Demand alone (30:32) does not change cost of production unless SOMEONE says hey, I can raise the price and people will still by this. So there is still an arbitrary factor of the seller saying to himself I have more buyers and almost instituting a type of bidding system of who will continue to buy this as I increase my profit margin?

I couldn’t agree more with what you guys said about businesses I own a small construction company in Pennsylvania and it costs nearly 1/2 of my income to keep the business operating. Constant audits constantly increasing tax’s and fees. $700 a month for workers comp. Need payroll insurance unemployment insurance liability insurance. Paperwork that needs to be files by accountants and year after year they want more money at the end whenever they already make 6 automatic withdrawals from my bank per month. I have 2 employees

15:04 Just as a heads up, the money the government gives to the fed is for distribution. Treasury has an account on the fed balance sheet. When the fed buys treasuries they just simple increase the balance in the treasury side and use that to count treasury purchases. No money changes hands.

The American Republic has hard limitations to prevent direct democracy, and they are VERY intentional and significant. So it's important to call it a republic and NOT a democracy. The ancient Greeks PROVED democracy sucks thousands of years ago, and the Romans heeded this to form their own republic (So did Carthage, probably). The word "democracy" should be a cringe word like liberal or woke. It's a necessary evil because you can't have a republic without it. Does anyone know which video he's referring to when they talked about this?

I think the question about " is there still gold in ft knox" - is more about - whether we could go BACK to currency being tethered to gold. Is there ENOUGH gold/ silver/other "precious metals" etc- to go back to a gold standard - and what difficulties/disruptions would/could that cause.
