Is a Sight Light Really Necessary?

In this video I answer the question "Is a Sight Light Really Necessary?" I answer from personal experience in how I have learned to properly utilize the sight light it self when shooting in a hunting situation but also a target situation. I haven't learned everything but I plan to log everything I learn about archery every step of the way to hopefully speed up someone else's archery journey. Because I had a tone of questions when I first started archery and there were a good bit of archery videos that touched on some of these topics. But there were still gaps I the content regarding archery and practical lessons learned.

Also a adjustable peep sight plays a big factor with the sight light as well

Can you explain what you mean a bit more? I'm curious and I'm not sure I'm fully understanding

runnig my UV XL with the 6x lense and blue fiber, light at max. Perfect for 3D because there are almost no blue targets (except that strange Pandora targets from SRT no parcour is using) and it shines like a laserbeam. red is not bright enough for my old eyes and green to me is not perfect in our dense woods with tons of different green leaves and stuff. Like Bryant said: A peep where you can swap the inserts to adjust the inner diameter (like hamskea or ARC has them) and add an clarifyer if you use a lense, is worth gold! They will be a 100$ and up for a good system, but if you stay with the same system you need just the outer peep for future bows. Also if you use your bow for target shooting you can simply take a smaler diameter inserst and put your scope more to the front to get more precision ;) Prost (cheers) from bavaria!

Dude sounds like you definitely have your set up dialed in for sure. What bow are you shooting? And yes having a variable peep system definitely helps having an adjustable peep when it comes to being able to see the sight housing from different lightening situations for sure.

@@walderman55 At the moment a Lift 33 and a PSE Carbon Air Stealth 35 (and of course some Recurve bows too)

@@florianhahn94 question, I find the PSE hunting bows to have a pretty agressive shock in hand on shot. Do you feel that with the carbon air at all? If you compare it to the lift st shot which one feels smoother. (Not draw cycle)

@@walderman55 The Carbon Airs and the Levitate are 100% dead in the hand. I guess it is the result of the foam core. The flagship PSE aluminium bows imo have way more shock than the new Mathews bows. I think shock and weight wise the PSE carbon bows are way ahead of any other brand. Quietness and drawcycle mathews wins by far. PSE settles quicker in the hand (smaller cams), but when you have the time to let the bow settle, a mathews shoots laserbeams. But that is all my personal opinion. Aluminium Bows, i`d def go for the lift any day without a second thought. If you get the chance to try a NockOn Levitate, try it.
