I wanted to double check the MSRP from the 2018 we drove just in case the price difference was due to rims or other packaging. Base MSRP in 2018: $61,795.00 CAD Base MSRP in 2023: $61,098.00 CAD Avenir Tech Package in 2018: $2,475.00 CAD Avenir Tech Package in 2023: $1,895.00 CAD The 2018 we drove had the $700 white frost tricoat paint. So overall price has come down during a market that doesn't see price reductions.

I had a 2008 that served my family well. I wish they would shed 250kg or -500lbs from the curb weight. That 3.6 does not get much respect for reliability. I never had a problem in the two vehicles with that engine, maybe because I ran synthetic and changed every 4500 miles max.

I have a 2018 Buick Enclave premium awd and it has 90k miles and hasn't had any issues. Long drives with a family of 6 with gear and it not bad for those long 200+ mile trips. Yes GM loves to nickle and dime its customers and there are smh cost cutting measures but they are a bargain when certified used with lower mileage. They definitely compete well with the Japanese brands and beats every crossover in size.

Get the Chevy Traverse. Best interior space in class, and the infotainment can slide up to reveal a cubby, and to move into the drivers line of sight with the road.

I think the value prop for this car is the sheer size.can you comment on romminess and luggage/passenger space. Also did this have adoptive cruise? How did that system work?
@PRNTestDrive2 жыл бұрын
Adaptive cruise works well, now that most cars have it i only really discuss it if there’s issues or it works differently than any other vehicle. Cargo and passenger space is good as we talked about back in 2018, it offers the same sort of space that the Kia Telluride has, except the Telluride is less expensive and offers more features. Seat comfort on it was good though, it has a little massage feature which is a nice plus.

It’s honestly hard to match the interior space. That’s why we’ve owned three of them. Put 6 full size adults in there and still luggage compartment available to fully pack

It doesn't stand out in the crowd.... thus a crowd... NONE stand out. LOL I have watched reviews of all the competition and there are pluses and minuses for them all but none seemed to be overall so much better than the rest that THEY stood out either. I just think far too many people want far too much and don't realize how great all the choices are compared to the past.

The Enclave is still a great choice, and one of my favourite GM vehicles on the market right now. The 2018 we first drove was spectacular. Considering the price on this hasn't changed much in 5 years it's still a great deal.

Had a 2017 fully loaded premium model which was pretty decent, but lost its appeal after the body style change with the new gen. Buick is still playing catch up with all other SUV in the same segment. For $60K+ why would anyone go for this when there are other cars with more options and are more luxurious. For starters, the cabin looks uninspired and boring, esp that fake wood trim makes it look so cheap. No ventilated seats in the back either. Even the Palisades or Telluride has way more options for less $$. Deal breaker for me was no ambiance lighting inside or approach lighting for a car that's over $60K plus is just ludicrous. Enclave needs a major overhaul if they want to attract younger buyers. I will only give a B+ for the roominess for the cabin, otherwise a solid c- all around. Buick could've done way better..

I had a 2014 Enclave Leather CPO from 31k to 125k miles. I now have this 2023 Enclave Avenir with the factory tow package. 2nd choice was a top of the line Mazda CX90. Didn't bother with smaller Cadillac or Volvo. Acura doesn't look luxurious. Hope Nissan/ Infiniti become reliable again some day. Watch Scotty Kilmer video on 3 car brands that are crap for Jeep, Kia and Hyundai. Toyota SUVs look like pick-up offspring and the least reliable Subaru is the Ascent. Not brave enough to get a German Car since I keep them 7-10 years. Durango switched to a minivan frame circa 2009 and Lincoln line up looks real nice but not this time.

I really take Telluride or Pathfinder or Grand Cherokee over this. GM is not updating their IcE vehicles so this is just old now. It’s on top of GM front wheel drive platform which is not reliable, and I go with the other options.
@PRNTestDrive2 жыл бұрын
That was my thought the entire week too, I’d rather take the Telluride over this. The Kia has a couple additional features over this on top of being about $6,000 cheaper.

The enclave is targeted towards an older more mature audience than the people who drive tellurides and pathfinders. The Buick is softer & more luxurious. 2 different classes of car.

Great review mate as always.. This is built on the same platform as Acadia and Traverse innit? I mean the Acadia Denali looks good to me how's this compared to the Denali? I'd personally go Telluride in this segment I know it's not a direct competitor though but infiniti has better interior still don't you think?

Telluride is definitely the way to go. Same size as the Traverse, which I have booked closer to the end of the month. I’d likely go with this over the Acadia, I prefer the design and layout better.

It cant pass as a new car with that price tag...even with the exterior facelift The interior *screams* 2017 And honestly the facelift looks worse, I hate the split LED signature with the headlights placed far away in the bumper...I hated it in the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, I hate it in the new upcoming BMW 7-Series and I hate it here Nothing will ever top the original egg-shaped 2008 Buick Enclave...it copied that era's Audi Q7 and it was a good thing
@PRNTestDrive2 жыл бұрын
I don’t like the split headlight stuff, I don’t know who thought it was a good idea but everyone’s doing it now. It’s like the HUGE nameplate written across the back of the vehicle, that’s trend that’s catching on and I hate it. I think Lexus does it the worst since they’ve never had to do that before. Luckily this Buick doesn’t, but who knows if it’ll stay like that.

I'm not upset this is still using the previous-gen Infotainment system. While the Google built-in unit is beautiful and responsive, it requires a data connection to get anything out of it. Most customers aren't going to keep their OnStar subscription past the trial which then makes Google Maps, and the Assistant useless. Now on select 2023 VINs GM is giving 3 years of Connected Services in response to this, 2024 Cadillac models will all have that, and Ultium-based EVs like the Blazer EV will get 8 years with the removal of Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Personally I find the infotainment on the Buick to be great as-is, still one of my favourite large crossovers on the road today!
