Learning AI is fun when you are a beginner in the field or you are just exploring it for the first time . But the actual reality is that if you want to build a real world model you need data and computational power . You can get data easily, thanks to kaggle . But how can you get intensive computational power as a student . Google colab just give you 8 ram . My hobby is web developing . I have learnt ml/AI on ibm cognitive classes . But I cannot build real world model although I have skills and training data . So I think if you are a web or app developer don't waste your time on learning ML/AL with a view to building real world model , just have the basics of ML/AI and use the API . This will be cost friendly.

Very good guidance for who just thinking to start or jump in AI by just hearing its future outcome. I recently graduate in Bachelor's of computer application , at initial 6 months i try web development but it can't give me vibe or motivation . after this i jump in Data science filed and i would like to say i love this field or job or skills than my girlfriend 😁. i learned from scratch all things like Stats, little math, ML,DL,NLP, and for understanding llms or how gen ai models works i learn Transformers architecture in depth and now i am learning implementation of transformers by huggingFace videos and a great book. I also have little knowledge of RAG and LLM implementation but when i am implementing these things then i realized , direct implementation is good but you should know how the model are doing all the things that's why now i am learning GEN AI from scratch and i recently started with Transformers HuggingFace , after this langchain, vector database, Fine-tuning ( i know these things little but i want to learn these from scratch ) . my motive is to right my whole story to show my interest level and a good step-by-step learning path . Now i am looking for opportunity and i can proudly say that i am a good data scientist or ML Engineer.
