Oh my goodness, Jason! Albania is beautiful! I love its naturalness. So wonderful you got to go swimming in the refreshing falls. And your lunch looked delicious. The little churches with the icons reminded me of many I visited while sailing the Cyclades Islands in Greece. Albania looks like it has so much to offer! The landscape reminiscent of Greece with more hills and exquisitely beautiful vistas! Thanks again for a wonderful vlog! Safe travels!😊💚🌿

It's 2021 man! Albania is far away from what you are describing here. It's way more safer than most famous European countries.

if you really want to visit some old churches in that area you can find Labova e kryqit and Ravena's Monastery. They are really beautiful. Also the Church of Leusa in Permet close to Gjirokaster is very very beautiful inside with its frescos. Many churches there are more than 500 years old but local people have moved from that villeges towards the towns and that is why they are not much frequented

That was not the Vjosa river, I don't know it's name but I know that it starts in Pogoni and cuts through the Selcka gorge where you were in the waterfalls. It eventually merges with Drinos river that passes through the valley of Gjirokaster. Great footage very few people visit these parts though they are much more scenic than the conventional places people post about Albania in youtube.

*25% of Albania lives in Italy, let this "shocking" fact sink in! This says so much about its corruption and quality of living...* And the youth that escaped Albania are mostly scattered around Western Europe... These comments counter this idyllic view of Albania...

What you say is unfair. The country is beautiful notwithstanding its problems of poverty and governance. I have been to Albania in 1994 the first time and I went back various times, the last in 2019. The improvements are palpable, it's not yet Sweden but I know places in the USA or Britain that are in a worse situation.

@@felixmbandandayitabi4536 I never said anything about the country's nature! Don't put words in my mouth! And that comparison is so stupid! I can say my city is better than the ghetto neighborhoods of Chicago, does that give you a good idea of my city?! Hell no! All I am saying is Albania's youth are escaping by the THOUSANDS annually!
