Rap beef definitely heightens the game on one side of the spectrum. However, on the other side, pure lyrics shine. Pass rap beef had mystery, suspense, and creative appeal. Now, considering the advent of social media, rap beef lacks these attributes. Today's beefs will not be talked about for years to come like pass beefs are. I already forgot about that Nicki vs. Remy beef. I would have agreed with Vince Staples if he had stated that modern rap beef is corney.
