Don't know why you are adding to the hysteria surrounding Eddie and the England job. He didn't make any demands. He clearly stated he was very happy, and doesn't see any reason why that won't continue. Owners taking a manager for granted? We've seen it before with the Halls and Shepherd not recognising that all the club success was due to Keegan - not them. Howe has been treated badly by having a director of football and, particularly, a 'performance' specialist without any consultation.

Who do you think that the right winger will be? Chiesa at €20m Euros would be a great start. Personally I would like Kubo for a variety of reasons not all football but also commercial

Strange saying Howe didn't have a say in who was coming in. Why wouldn't Howe have wanted Paul Mitchell with his track record. I will repeat have people missed the bit in the interview when he said the England job is not important to him🖤🤍

I'm not a Newcastle fan but I don't want Eddie Howe managing England for the foreseeable. He's too young for starters & has said several times it's something for the future so I don't see why the press are doing what they are doing - think they are god or something. Who's told them the FA are interested in Howe? The FA have been aware Garth was leaving for well over two years & would've already tapped him up (they've already done that with one person) a year ago. Time is ticking & the FA advertised the job last week and it's open until 2nd August, leaving not a lot of time for say an Eddie Howe with his club circumstances. I believe Lee Carsley will be put in as interim for the time being for what it's worth.

Jeez, the negativity on this pod was incredible....What if this? what if that? Sorry Andrew Musgrove but if we won the league next year, you would be worrying about that setting too high expectations wouldnt you? Its nuts trying to ascertain what someones motivation is for saying something we all know, which is basically I am happy in my job but if I dont enjoy my job, I will look to move onto another job. Lets just take a breath, chill out and relax shall we? These are profesional people who know what they are doing. Its not like we have to worry about relegation like we did only a couple of years ago is it?? Listening to this take on things takes all of the enjoyment out of it.......

Eddie needs to get used to this structure or he wont be here much longer, this is how all big clubs with high aspirations operate, the "head coach" is there to coach the team, take training and work on tactics, he should get a say on what positions he wants to strengthen and then the sporting director goes out and finds him players to fit the coaches system

The big elephant in the room is Andy Howe….nephew involved in recruitment…is he getting nudged oot the way and has this irked Eddie? Eddie got his panties in a twist and should have thrashed his position out out in private with the board but instead chose to go public and unsettled the fans. l hope he has not holed the good ship TOON because the board will not tolerate it again! Now get down to working for the club and not your ego's!
