I have to agree with him that if you really want to honour your soldiers make sure that they get decent medical care at the VA and not to throw up obstacles to treatment. Prosecute any lender who forecloses on a soldier on active service is an easy one. Guarantee them homes and end the situation where thousands of servicemen and women are homeless. These are things that can be done everywhere for them.

I am from germany but I really like to follow US politics its always really funny. No matter what the issue is you can bet your life that someone will pop up and say "we can't do (insert any political proposal) until we have taken care of our veterans!" but no one ever really does anything for them :D

reality is most US vets end up homeless or in prison, they also commit a disproportionate amount of crime like shooting people in churches. blowing up buildings killing many people etc.

Military defend all things that America stands for this would include the Flag, the National Anthem, the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence both of the latter have plenty to say about FREEDOM and those who would curtail it. Has the military been reduced to standing for a song? Or is their biggest contribution representing the freedoms outlined in those documents?
