Hey Steve! I hope you're well :) Don't worry - nothing is ever final (minus death haha). You have the power and ability to change anything in your life at any time. Believe me. I studied this course for 3 years and got a lower than average grade. I have managed to do okay for myself OUTSIDE of formal education. There are many paths you can take so please, don't get bogged down. Lift your chin up, think positive, plan for the future and keep completing the tasks in-front of you! Thanks

Hello sir, very good mindset. This gives me hope coming from someone who studied a degree with no passion and goal, civil Engineering. I'm looking into business master's course. Would you recommend MIB or MIM or something more specific in business for a career change? I never find joy in the construction field and would like to explore my interest in other fields but didn't get a chance since my experience and skills didn't match their requirement they didn't accept my application so now I'm looking into master's degree in business. Hi Magdaline! Hmm, there are sections of any business course that can apply to the real world. I think it's key to differentiate a course thats purely theory vs a course that involves practicality e.g. look at course where you're placed in an organisation to get hands on experience, that's the best route to go down in my opinion. Every business major is applicable to the real world but i think Marketing/Advertising the most! You will be working for consumers (society/people) to help them choose the products, you will make new product innovations which will help people in future and so on!

Thanks Brenda, this totally varies from career to career. I was under the assumption that studying international business management would lead to a career where you travel a lot. This ended up being false. The careers that require travel are generally filled with people who have significant experience within the company HOWEVER there are a handful of careers in which you can travel immediately. I have received offer letter from 2 universities offering Digital Marketing with placement (University of East London) and MSc in international business management with Practical training (University of Wolverhampton). Which one of these you think is a better course to select, considering the future job prospects? I am super confused, please help

Hey Varsha, Thanks for commenting. Sure thing. I will talk from my own perspective as I wouldn’t want to guide your career. If I were to choose out of the two above, I would go for Digital Marketing with placement. I found IBM too broad and there was no real specialism. Digital marketing is a lot more zoned in and plus you get a placement which future employers will find attractive 🙂
