ultimatums are exactly the same as clearly communicating your boundaries and the consequences of crossing your boundaries. The problem isn't the ultimatum, the problem is people dont want to accept the consequences when it doesn't go their way

Yes, if I tell my wife no to a girls trip out of the country or I won't be here when she gets back. I mean it and we're married so what married woman needs an out of the country girls trip? There is no insecurity. There is only single behavior and married behavior. You want to act single then be single.
