Easy steps to lower stress, 1. Stop watching tv, especially the news. 2. Get a hobby. Search yt there are so many one will catch you. 3. Imagen the world is a video game, and your a player, the aim of the game is to learn something new, as in a craft, weather it be baking, knitting, wood work, music, reading etc old hand trades, hobbies. 4. Try and leave all tech gear alone. What's to lose give it a go👍

I think the current anxieties we have is because all information, about good and bad events is virtually instant, before the internet age , there wasnothing like the torrent all all types of happenings so easy to access. The Universe is eternal and infinite, but the Earth and everything on it is finite, so all our worries will dissipate to nothing.

I wake up every morning with anxiety. I’m always working on dealing with it. Have you ever read the book by Eckart Tolle … The Power to Now? It helped me out to learn to accept the moment that I’m living in and let go of worrying. Sharing your feelings are therapeutic. Hope you have a wonderful weekend ✌️❤️

I haven’t read that book, but I will put it on my list. I’ve read a few books that have been recommended in the comments. Thanks. 😊 I did a video a few months ago about being a Samaritan, and how we can use just listening as a tool to help stress and anxiety. Something has just come up in my comments that really set me back on my heels, and has prompted me to look into mental health issues a little more closely. I hope I can do it justice. 😊❤️

The philosopher Sartre said that the sense of meaninglessness causes 'dread and anxiety'; which I think is something that can be fairly easily observed in our current society, but also in other societies throughout history where people lost a sense of meaning. Sartre having said that, he also said that the antidote is to create meaning in one's life - for which I think your chanel is a wonderful inspiration 👍

The videos I’ve watched on your channel so far tell me you are a deeply sensitive person. You get a lot of joy out of the natural world and you notice things that less sensitive people just don’t see. I watched your Part 1 video this morning about living a slow life and we can all see you get intense joy from being out in nature - your unbridled enthusiasm is really strong. Unfortunately, those of us lucky enough to have such amazing highs from nature can also be prone to picking up on subliminal negative vibes from life too. There is no light without darkness. I have come to realise that anxiety comes with having the ability to feel very deeply. I’m lucky because my husband is less sensitive than me and he keeps me from getting too carried away with that awful background anxiety when it comes. I’m sure you have voiced the thoughts of MANY highly sensitive people in making this video. Anxiety gets to me too sometimes but I wouldn’t want to change how I am because the highs are so wonderful. Getting joy from the way the light shines on a tree early in the morning is priceless. The way your subscriber count is climbing shows your videos are resonating with a lot of people. Enjoy the highs and don’t worry about the anxiety. I just acknowledge mine and let it be and it soon goes. Shine on! 💎 ☀️

That’s a beautiful comment. Thank you very much. I must admit, I am a worrier rather than anxious. I get those anxious moments I mentioned in the video, but they aren’t strong enough to outweigh the pleasure I get from just being out in nature. I set my expectations very low so that I don’t have far to fall. I expect nothing of the day, so the bits that bring me joy don’t have to be that joyful. Sometimes I wonder if I really am that as one with the world around me, or have I just convinced myself I am. Either way, it’s how I want to be. 😊
@RainbowLane
@RainbowLane 9 ай бұрын
@@primalengland You’re welcome. It’s interesting to hear you question whether you are at one with nature or just trying to convince yourself. In some ways, it doesn’t really matter which it is. What matters is having that strong drive to seize the day. It’s that awareness of the importance of doing so rather than wasting it. It’s having the power to overcome the easier (but destructive) option of sitting around doing b*%%*r all. I have found that the underlying uneasiness about how the world has changed, with everything going on here and abroad, has to be actively resisted. And yes, maybe there is an element of convincing ourselves we are one with nature going on. But I truly believe in the adage ‘fake it until you make it.’ We were born at one with nature but modern society has heaped layer upon layer big conditioning on us. Some people are totally lost to it. But others, like you, still have an awareness of the nature loving being at our core. So maybe we aren’t so much as trying to convince ourselves, but are simply trying to reconnect with our true selves. I see it as trying to tune a radio station and cut out the static. We definitely have a higher and lower self - it’s the higher self who makes the lower self get off the sofa to walk. And so, our higher selves get stronger and more in control. Keep walking and talking to us - there are MANY of us out here needing to cut through the awful static of modern life. Your honesty must be helping so many people feel empowered to seize every day and to forgive themselves when they don’t quite make it. 💎☀️

Hello Nigel, I set out on a walk this morning but felt very tired so turned round and came home. I think as you say we all pressure ourselves to have a 'productive day' doing or making or whatever. So now I'm relaxing with your wonderful channel ! I suffer anxieties which sometimes keep me awake. The main one is the loss of free speech in this country. I feel we are going down a very slippery slope when we start locking people up for something they said or wrote. God Bless you Nigel. Keep doing what you're doing.

I avoid getting into politics on this channel. I have quite strong political allegiances, but this assault on free speech and the incarceration of people for FB posts is frightening. Anxiety is a natural feeling. Fight or flight. I have severe anxiety attacks. They are not triggered by anything. I believe there is a difference between panic attacks and anxiety attacks. Panic is the "butterflies" and out of empathy towards others "Anxiety" is sheer hades. I walk alone. I don't have best friends not because I'm antisocial, but they create more drama. My best friends have been my canines 💗, felines, little animals. Yes I grew up before the internet, deep in the country of The United States. I don't worry about current events. My moment is now. Although I do struggle, I try to be thankful for my blessings. I'm learning as I go. Yes I'm a hermit..female..😉 it's better that way for me. I love your accent.

Weeks after leaving the UK in 1998 .. the problem vanished, never to return.. I alway felt on edge living in the UK, since being a kid, was frequently bullied, got knifed, beaten up to the point where I needed stitches (on several occasions), got burgled, car stolen.. etc. etc. etc... So... any wonder why I had this feeling... Britain puts you on the edge.. I think I’m quite fortunate, and very lucky. I was brought up in a nice area with a loving family around me. I’ve never really experienced anything bad, even though I went to a pretty rough secondary school. I still live in a working class area, but fortunately it’s quiet and peaceful. I think I’m lucky. I’ve had huge ups and downs, and made more than my fair share of bad decisions, but have never suffered violence or felt threatened. I know many people do. I took enough phone calls from abuse sufferers when I was a Samaritan. I love what my country was, but hate what it is becoming. I’ll be moving on soon to somewhere as remote as my health will allow. Me, the dog and a nice bottle of wine.

True words. I’ve mentioned this in a couple of videos, but get pushback off people saying. ‘It’s not that easy.’ ‘You don’t know what you’re talking about’ I always get the impression that these people are either afraid of change, and feel almost safe in their anxieties, or are so beaten down they haven’t the inner strength to affect that change.

There's no point in suffering from anxiety if you can possibly help it. Most of the things that cause anxiety are things that we can't do anything about. So, as I said, no point. Carry on looking at the bright side, the beautiful countryside, the flora and fauna - and yes, sometimes, good and decent people. That way you stay happy. It was a vew days ago you reccomended me to watch this video and I have realized some things. I think I grew up very young. Like around 12. Something happend in the family a huge fight about money. We cut off most contact after that and moved to another country. I did highschool over there and moved back to do college in my native country. The sepperation and sudden fall away off my family made me feel unloved and since I am an only child my parents also relied a lot on me emotionally. A vew years back(I was already a legal adult) i told my parents that enough was enough and I no longer talk about what happend(the situation when i was 12) because they kept (especially my mom) bringing it up when I would visit. So education and everything I have only tried to figure things out on my own. My bf constantly had to tell my I am save where whe live etc. I want to focus on myself and on finally graduating college hopefully in June/Juli and really think about what kind of job I want with my degree. I feel sometimes its hard to breathe if I do not keep myself busy and ofcorse my school assignments are no joke. It is a lot of pressure. I also miss my granpa. When I was very little he lived a vew streets away and I used to spend a lot of time with him. My grandparents moved away when I was around 6/7. I never really understood why. I didnt feel like I thought about it for a long time but now that I am older I do feel like that made me feel very sad. And ofcorse as a small child I did not understand that feeling 😅 now I do. So I am anxious about daily life but also if I am confedent enough to get a job. I think if I had a more positive view on work it would help. Not those videos online from America where people just refuse to work or lay flat or whatever thats called(i get them reccomended on my feed while i prefer to watch cozy content) But just someone saying you will be ok, you can do it. It is just a job, everyone needs one whatever it is they do. Thank you for reading. I know its a long one 😊.

It sounds as though you had a huge amount of pressure emotionally when you were pretty much too young to process it, and it all came out as you grew up. It’s no wonder you lack confidence in your ability to approach job interviews and work pressures. If you can work through, and make sense of, the family conflicts, you might be able to put much of it behind you and move forward. ❤️
