There are many videos like this of a man walking in the woods, they are called bushcraft videos. There are two types, skills and gear. KZbin is mainly so many gear videos that this simple act of walking in the woods is about the latest knife, the latest ultralight pot, and on and on. Each one preached to be more perfect than the same item they preached about 6 months ago. The people I respect the most are those who are using 80% of the same gear now as they did 20 years ago. Don't let "the constant buy" invade even simple things like a walk in the woods.

In the summer when I was a child, we would go on holiday to a cottage on a lake for two weeks. They were the best two weeks of the year and I would cry when we had to leave. The best part to me was seeing the sun creating shadows on the bottom of the lake. It was moving and the surface would shimmer, sparke and shine. Pure makik.❤

People would be very surprised as how little that they actually need to survive and be happy. the trick is to reject what society perceives you need to be happy, the flashy house , fancy car ect. As a fairly new minimalist myself I found that after I got rid of all the "junk" I was happier and with that came a few benefits like less stress and worry and the sudden the realization that I don't need a big home to keep all my "junk" safe from thieves and the house was like a noose around my neck just waiting to hang me if I could not afford the mortgage or taxes. The financial savings are amazing also. Had I come to this realization 20 or even 30 years ago I honestly believe that I would have accumulates a 6 or 7 figure savings by now. All I did is buy a very small house on a property with a reasonable amount of land and divide the land into 2 property but not officially tenanted the house and bought myself a 4.1x2.4meter garden shed then lined and insolated it put solar panels and batteries and i built a small outhouse and installed a bathroom in the outhouse. with a deck between them. I live a small minimalistic life but it's better than living like a king because no stress or worry. I don't even have to worry about the rental I leave that to the agents to worry about. I am fortunate in some ways because I do get a medioca income from a accident I had years ago where I broke my back and could not work as a plumber and drainlayer anymore, but I found that with this way of life you appreciate the smallest of blessings that happen in your life 100 fold more than I did before

Water is the elixir of life. It makes up 70 percent (I think) of our bodies. We need it to live. It's shiny, sparkling, and feels like silk. It can sound soothing. It cools us, warms us, and cleans us. It's no wonder we are primally attracted to it.

I live in Namibia. Other than the sea in the west, the kavango wet lands in the far north east and man made dams we have only three rivers that run year round. I love open water and have lived in parts of South Africa before where the was. I love my country, but I do miss the water sometimes.

Nigel, I lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan when I was young. When I could drive and there was a storm coming in, I would head north 16mi to the shore of Lake Superior. I would sit on a cliff beneath a big, beautiful pine tree and be in awe of nature's Majesty!!! It was a SPIRITUAL experience that I have never forgotten! CHEERS MATE!!!🐺🌈✌️💙🙏✝️😇💯

We don’t have weather like that very often, Jeff. Sometimes I wish we did, without any havoc, of course. The west we get is the odd thunderstorm and occasional flooded roads. I love a good storm.

Have a video of waterfalls or trickling streams I'd love that! I'd rather be on the shore watching water or paddle a canoe. The rhythm of waves rolling in is calming! Drop a stone into a puddle shows the ripple effect of what we do or say. How it affects all around us, a ring surrounding us going out in every direction. I used to walk there, but Molly is struggling a bit now, and would be ready to come home as soon as we arrived, so we drive.
