People are tearing this game to shreds on steam and Twitter btw. Here’s a snippet from one review. Not a good look: I gave benefit of the doubt to the developer, assuming that "yeah it's just a bad game but you can only go up from here on, just improve and update the game based on feedback" and to that I saw: - Dev blaming the price of the game for the mixed reviews - Dev blaming the players for "not knowing" what they want - Dev saying they streamlined "archaic" stuff and we should be grateful (they were talking about FFT (ya mate.. you guys removed "archaic" mechanics yet you don't even know where to place your trees, teach us more...)) - Dev starting fights with anyone in the discussions that would give an iota of criticism (ends up locking them (my favorite gotta be the dev calling someone a rando that just spreads negativity in random games just to find out that she was talking to a backer from her game.. priceless)) - Dev stating that we shouldn't complain because they are an small team (tho smaller teams made better games, ...even solo devs made better things but sure, keep using that shield) - Dev managed to bring gender into this, (I mean... that on its own its impressive), stating that because she is a woman she is not allowed to comment on her project and game dev is x3 times harder? ... weird takes, glad you deleted those tweets fast... - Dev saying it's crazy how she has only 73 reviews if 90.000 people wishlisted this on steam, mate you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lucky those 90.000 didn't leave a review, I don't think you would enjoy Overwhelmingly Negavite status (as usual, locked the moment people started to comment that the game ain't that good)

I came back to this video because I thought of you while playing a new game you need to play that is going under the radar because of the publisher it came from....Kemco,,,,but its called .Cross Tails. Iits a SRPG like Arcadian Atlas but honestly it seems a lot better so far!!! Highly recommend!!!

We need more Isometric style SRPG that have depth. I feel like the genre needs a facelift. Like new mechanics and new things to keep it fresh. Personally ive got some ideas but i dunno. Hopefully someday someone can make the SRPG i see in my dreams hahaha. Great story. Great cast. Great game mechanics. Great side mini games.

Triangle Strategy made me miss when the games had limited space for written story content. In my opinion the went a little overboard in that regard.

Im on the fence solely because of the leveling/experience system. I really dislike this new trend where characters share experience, or like this game, get a flat 1 level after each battle. For me that kinda stuff takes away a shit load of the joy i take in these games and makes the characters feel samey to me. I may still check it out though.

As a relative newbie to the genre, I think that really appeals to me. I also really appreciated a similar mechanic in Chrono Cross though, which is a bit divisive too, so I could totally see what that might not be something you'd fall in love with. But I'm glad to have been eased into things with this one! :)

FFT story is epic, gameplay is good but it has scaling the random fights are worse than bosses(level 99 yellow chocobo can be scary) and the classes(plus special classes) are cool. Its hard to do these indie games when AAA games were doing these types of games better in 90s and 2000s.

Of course the greatest AAA games from 30 years ago are going to be hard to match. They were multi-million dollar endeavors by teams of professionals during the golden age of RPGs. This was made by like, a person in their free time after work over 7 years. I think your expectations may need to be adjusted.

This one is definitely one i wanna pick up. Also, this seems to be taking a lot of FF Tactics inspiration, the fainted character being permadead after three is straight out of that game, though FFT does provide you with plenty of Phoenix Down and Life spells as you go. That isn't a knock on this game at all, though! FFT is one of my all-time favorites, and a game taking direct inspiration with it's own spin sounds like an absolute treat

There's definitely some things I like about them. The line quality and variation is really cool. I also appreciate the color vibrancy and gradients used in the art. They're not bad overall, and honestly I can't _quite_ pinpoint what I'm not a fan of. But it's such a small gripe in the context of everything else they did well. :)

This might have some potential. I will be honest, it's way too slow. Can you improve the speed? If not, hard pass for me. Need to see more, but not super exited with what I've seen thus far. Needs a niece to compete with PS5 Tactica, Disgae, Tactic Ogre and others. Or it will only cost 19,99 at release, but pretty sure it won't.

I think a big part of why it looks slow is because a a novice, _I am_ slow, and picking what to do takes a while. When characters are in-motion, it's relatively quick. I'm sure as I get better at the game I'll get faster. I didn't end up looking for speed settings though, but it sounds like the developer is still taking feedback for the game, so a mention on their steam page might be helpful. :)
